I think the performative activists are another factor that worked against the boycott and has trickled down to present day. Rather than educating others or striving to see genuine change, they seem committed to hounding every idol, except their own bias of course, that held a Starbucks coffee in their hand. So much so, they were bringing up "proof" of idols drinking the brand from before the global strike had began. The conflict had obviously been happening well before that but it does nothing to berate idols for not adhereing to a boycott that hadn't even started yet.

My only complain about the Starbucks boicot is why I see not such attempt against Rusia? To free Tibet? To respect the accords that would make Palestina and Israel two countries? To stop the wars in central Africa? To stop the drugs wars in America from Mexico to the south?
I am sure there are more wars out there but that are the ones I remember.

So? Everyone knows how unethical Starbucks is, and some idols did actively start buying from local coffee shops. As consumers we have the power and right to demand certain things from the people we pay.

Agreed with all of this. The boycott was very unorganized, and I didn't participate in it for the reason that I was so confused about everything that was happening, even though I wanted to also show my support for Palestine. All I kept witnessing was how dates were extended or what companies or brands were being boycotted. It started off with just Big4 boycott but then right in between, it was changed to boycott everyone, which given how you said the boycott didn't have a clear or set goal, is the biggest reason why this and many boycotts keep failing.
What gets me is this idea that we only have to stop buying albums and streaming and merch as this only way as K-pop stans to show support for Palestine. What about those of us who don't even have the financial ability to buy merch constantly or stream music daily? As another solution to add to this boycott, I think there not only has to be more clear organization like maybe a cohesive account for a "Kpop For Palestine" organized boycott but I think someone who has effective knowledge in finances and donations and isn't a fraud should open a donation link for money and basic products so we can send these donations to another organization within the country they are set in to send to Palestine for relief. I am not qualified enough to do this myself but I do hope someone else can think of something like this.
We as fans need to start using our money for actual causes than as a gamble for our bias's photocard, especially during a time like this.

I never participated in the boycott. I'm a Palestine supporter, but like I knew that this boycott wasn't good. I saw from every angle how dumb this boycott was, because it wasn't planned properly at all (talking about boycotting the big 3 + hybe & starship).
Plus kpop stans choose to boycott kpop companies associated with brands possibly giving money to Israel (Z10n1st Brands), but never in the past have they boycotted kpop companies being associated with brands who are probably bad for other reasons (like may clothing brands the company uses a lot).
Also Kpop stans wanted to boycott hybe to get scooter braun out and for the Z10n1st Brands thing, and I supported boycotted for Scooter Braun to be removed, but what about boycotting hybe when Newjeans debuted with cookie? S3xual lyrics or having the weird MV for Cool With You? Or ETA being linked to the Spanish T3rr0r1st organization of the same name (ETA). Kpop stans really showed me picking and choosing behaviour with this boycott for P@l3st1n3

Another thing that annoys me is the fans using this as a fanwar and only spreading it on twitter. they are so focused on whether or not their favs support palestine than actually spreading the information to help palestine. Yes encouraging idols to speak us is a good thing, but there are other more helpful ways to help the issue as well
