Aliens for 1. Although now that I think about it, if your squeamish don't watch Aliens........Hmm might just be dejected because there are a lot of really well written characters that seem to be forgotten about and really the new stuff isn't up there to me.
I don't care what anyone says. The last jedi was a very weird setup but the rise of skywalker really knocked it out of the park imho. I'm a fan of the originals, prequels and the sequels. All the cry babies can kiss my a**. If nothing else, it's very decent fan fiction haha.
I always thought that the fight scenes were a little too sluggish. like old men chopping wood. I get they didn't want to do the more acrobatic Chinese-influence marital arts in the prequel, but even the original trilogy had a more flair.

She was. By the end of ep 9 she overcame those insecurities. I do hope we see her as some kind of grey jedi in her movie, tho. After all, she learned that the force is more than just the light and the jedi

It doesn't seem like it worked (probably because he was conflicted after killing his father) 6:35 Rey is literally more powerful than Luke Skywalker, he definitely wasn't toying around with her or anything. 8:49 I don't think Rey is a Mary Sue, but yeah, this is just ridiculous. They could've shown Luke helping her pull out the rocks and people would've been happy. I haven't seen Rise of Skywalker yet.

When she finally founds out that all she has left is Palpatine and thats where her power and “her place in this story” comes from, that gives her a compelling character dilemma. In the end, she refuses to be defined by her bloodline, and rises up against him. He tried to possess her body as a vessel and had her parents killed. Yet it was Leia and Luke who trained and nurtured her. Han who took her under his wing. Ben Solo who came to save her and loved her. “Some things are stronger than blood”. By taking on the name Skywalker, she’s renouncing the legacy of a hateful man in favour of the people who treated her like family. By taking on the name Skywalker, she’s keeping the name of an important but controversial family line alive for the better. By taking on the name Skywalker, she’s giving the Skywalker family one final victory over a man who routinely destroyed their family, by converting Anakin and Ben to the dark side. Its a lot better than Luke randomly having a daughter, for the sake of purity.

Problem is you need to write good characters with conflicts and trails for them to over come. I feel like they made the mistake of not giving her real flaws and just lumping on powers and skill sets forgetting that overcoming weaknesses is what keeps people there. Also changing direction mid series and selling out to a Chinese market didn't help.
