Well it is kind of good for Steve Jobs isn't it...
He paid £500M to buy rights to the name Apple.
Then licenced it back so they effectively *got it for free* .
Think about it, they literally jacked the name Apple from it's rightful holder and then made the victim pay to have it back lol it's sheer brilliance. Not to mention every time they digitally sell a song they make money there too and Apple records have to stick to physical media!! LOL.

Apple stole just about everything in the beginning, including its very NAME - the Beatles were there FIRST with their Magritte-inspired Granny Smith, masterfully rendered for record labels and related usage. I don’t give a hoot that Cupertino supposedly “owns” the Beatles’ trademarked version - to me it will always represent great music from the best “par excellence” musical group in the history of entertainment, not some derivative, over-priced computer company.

Aka the story of an Apple that kept growing bigger because it didn’t rely on the works of living celebrities, along with the story of an Apple which stagnated because it did rely on the works of living celebrities. Amazing what an extremely large pile of cash can do.

Apple Computer pays millions per year to Apple Corps. because they admittedly copped their logo from Apple Corp.
The Apple Computer was invented on the "The Beatles"/"White Album".

Steve Jobs "Buzz" sold his parents Computer company Apple Computer Inc. to the son of Mr. Pochinko (myself) because he didn't know anything about them. We paid Steve Jobs "Buzz" $100,000 at our computer store called Video Concepts in Winnipeg, Canada during the summer of 1986 because we knew the most about them, and Steve Jobs wanted to do something else in his life.

Apple corps did not 'eventually' become a conglomerate. It was always the fact. See the initial press interviews for information.
