- I vacillated between purchasing a Fireball Tool blem table and a standard factory table. After choosing a blem table, here's what you might be able to expect.
I tend to doubt that Jason (as a company) would let anything pass that affected its usefulness. I'd probably just run a deburring tool around those few holes. I'd take a blemish in a heartbeat :)
Just working the fence pins blocks cleared it, so it doesn't take much. I assume with a little time, they will have the casting problem worked out and the blem tables will become uncommon. They are a fantastic deal while they last. It's like an extra $2,500 in free tooling for a few minor blemishes, great tools
Good old JB Weld.
Yea, I'd say that's worth a $2500 savings!
lab metal, bondo or the metal filler that loc-tite makes. either way a flat stone and some time with a file to save $2500... yeah im all about the blem table. good choice!
They're a great deal when you can find them.
That’s crazy, I got a blemish table and it barely had any pitting, I think mine was mostly a surface finish but they didn’t bondo the pits in my table, they’re still just small pin holes
I think mine was the last of the batch, so I assume the best ones had already been picked through and shipped
Looks like they used Bondo Puddy to fill those holes and a pocket knife or puddy knife could clean out the few holes that have puddy in them. $2,500 in extra fixtures is a no brainer.
It comes out easily, so you're probably right. That would be an easy cosmetic fix if it's ever needed
What are you using the table for? i didn't see what you manufacture in your videos.
I currently just use it for home/farm fabrication and have found numerous uses beyond metal fabrication.
I've been in the industry for over 50 years, every shop I've worked at fabricated their own tables with a minimum of 1/2" plate, fixture holes were only added when necessary.
Fixture tables are a pleasure to use if you're a multi million dollar Corp, or Gov. Contactor that comps the cost from the government of tax dollars.
They would be far more afforadable for a multi-million or government contractor, but I have loved the flexibility of the system for metal fabrication and as well as woodworking. It makes accurate layouts so much faster that traditional methods of laying out a project.
Disagree there im only a small company and i have 4 of them they pay for themselves in a few years in time savings
The blems do not bother me as long as the table is flat; the numerous back and forth emails and the constant struggle with customer service to get order order correct really concerens me.
They have been so easy and pleasant to deal with that the delays are inconvenient rather than infuriating, which is really saying something. I wouldn't hesitate to order again. I hope that they are working as hard on the backend as they are on creating great products. As fast as they seem to be growing their product lines, logistics may remain bumpy.
Oh Man, I think it looks really nice, Blems or not. The money saved probably paid for a bunch of fixture tools and clamps.
I had the same idea and spent every bit of what I saved in addition to what I already budgeted. I haven't needed extra clamps or blocks yet.
How much you payed for this kind of product?
It varies with the selected accessories; my set was around $12,500.
For what you get at a $2500 savings, it looks pretty damn cool, I buy some tools with more rust/pits than that. If it works who cares... awesome video. Cool channel I subscribed, check out mine....
Thanks, will do
Mite be Lab Metal awsome product
It seems fairly soft, so I'm not sure
