HACK for Unlimited electricity - Vanlife/ RV/ Caravan/ Roadtrip

This little adapter here lets anyone (with access to an EV CHARGING station) use that electricity outlet like a standard wall outlet. Typically these outlets are only ment to charge EV's but not anymore! Most EV charging stations only require an APP to use and are accessible for the public.

Keep in mind that an adapter without these “on/off” switches run the risk of permanently locking to the charger if the charger is not controlled by an app or such. I’d recommend one with the two switches.

Many of they adaptors permanently lock to the chargerpoint. AC chargers is not free in Norway in any cases at least. And AC chargerpoint is near to be phased out in Norway.

Seems like RUclips keeps removing my comment for some reason. What I wanted to say is that adapters with two manual buttons like the one shown in the video is supposed to not be locked into the terminal.

That is why there are two buttons on the adapter, for sending the signal to lock/unlock and start/stop “charging”.
But it’s true that an adapter without these buttons would get stuck unless charging could be stopped via app/ rfid.
Makes sense why charging isn’t free but AC chargers getting phased out sounds strange?

@@BasinBjorn In Oslo was the last one on 3,6 kW now pay charging spot. No more free charging at all in Norway.

B as in Bjorn, is it possible to use the adapter even if there is a long cable coming out of the terminal; such that one attaches the adapter to the cable's handle which is supposed to be plugged into the car, or will this adapter only work if it is plugged straight into a terminal?
From what I read these adapters only work if plugged directly into the terminal. But I don't understand why. Did you ever try using it between your trailer and a cable?

I got a bit unsure if that would work, never thought about trying that. Just assumed it would not fit. So I’ll try it and give you an update on that later.
