    Thanks for review buddy, I’m seriously thinking of getting one as my next bike, I’m in New Brunswick and you never se the bmw 650 here, have seen a few Burgman 650 but not the bmw. Dealers down here don’t carry the m so never see one in person,just videos like yours. I do a lot of long distance rides for weeks at a time and thinking that bike would be great with a givi bag on back, getting older and finding it harder with my motorcycle so that just might be the answer. Great to see a Canadian review

      Not a problem. I’m glad you liked it. Those machines are great, plenty of power, comfort and cargo space. Definitely would be a great long distance bike. BTW, I was just in NS this past weekend. I guess I flew over your home on the way back!

      @@Peeohtrek thanks for reply buddy, I’m going to take a ride up into Quebec next summer and check out some bmw dealers there who I see advertising them. I mentioned the 650 get to bmw dealer down here and there was no interest from him in even getting me info on them. Pretty bad service. Hope you enjoyed NS. The dealerships in Ontario are the same, they never want to carry one because they feel they’re taking a gamble on it. But there is interest…. My videos numbers will tell you so, it’s one of my highest viewed videos.

    Hey Pee, just did my first group ride of the year w the Toronto Riders group. One of the new riders had this exact bike, so decided to check out the reviews and yours came up. Weird coincidence I would say huh? PS he had taken the bike all the way to Boston and heading to Vermont next week. Not my kinda bike but for shorter riders, (he is approximately 5'5", might be the only option).

      Thanks for the kind words and for watching.
      From what I hear, as this is not my bike but rather a friend’s, the 1k service is a bit more pricy than usual but the following service prices are typical of BMW. 300-700 Canadian bucks depending on what’s needed.

      Definitely get it.I find BMW has the most reliable machines and they have the most extensive warranty. I’ve had 3 BMWs, have ridden them from coast to coast here in Canada and have had zero issues. I always felt comfortable taking the bikes anywhere as BMW always guaranteed (with their warranty) my safe return. They will bail you out anywhere in North America if something goes wrong..

    Well I have a C 650 GT and every motorcyclist waves to me mate. You certainly do not know that this is a very intimidating bike. So not to worry. And I do not care if "they" wave. I had a BMW 850 and this one is much better. And much faster...

      I'm sure that me riding this bike for a few days does not capture every rider's attitudes towards this machine but on those few days that I rode this C650GT, many riders ignored my waves. I agree with you that this is very powerful machine and it seems that those who did not wave back did not know that. Thanks for watching.

    "No one's gonna wave at you when you're on this bike" Oh cut the bullshit, I drive a Burgman 650 and people wave at me all the time on Sports bikes.

    • @Peeohtrek
      @Peeohtrek  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, they wave... But a lot less. When I'm on my bike, pretty much everyone waves, on the C it's a lot more seldom. Don't get so defensive, it just happened to be my observation.

    • @Triangulove
      @Triangulove 5 лет назад +1

      @@Peeohtrek What are you calling a Bike? They are both Bikes! When you have 650cc of power under your ass other Bikers are gonna wave, whether its called a scooter or its called a Motorcycle. Especially a bike like the Suzuki Burgman 650 which has the option to Manually shift. At least that has been my experience. Not sure if this BMW manually shifts but it sure looks like it should. Anyway, I just do not experience the prejudice you do on these California streets. Perhaps because other bikers realize we are ALL in this together with the way most of these drivers drive!

    • @Peeohtrek
      @Peeohtrek  5 лет назад +1

      I think you nailed it on the head. California vs. Ontario. Here the majority of riders are Harley guys, thus there is a bit of a snobbery towards other brands and types of bikes. I ride off-road and ADV and I experience the same thing. Lots of hog riders don't wave to orange dirt bikes. So I think you are right, where I am in the world affects this sort of behavior.
      I was born in Europe and I know for a fact that over there scooters are the norm and are not looked at the same way as here.
      Btw, I never said I didn't think the scooter wasn't a bike. I just said that certain people see it differently and dont wave. I'm on your side, I love this thing... And I come from a Vespa background.

    • @Triangulove
      @Triangulove 5 лет назад +1

      @@Peeohtrek Thanks for replying. Over here in Cali, I honestly don't think a lot of people know, at first sight, that my Burgman is a scooter. Especially when viewing it from the front end. They even sometimes mistake it for one of those BMW police motorcycles. I also have a 500cc Kymco Xciting, which most people know is a much larger than average scooter, but the Burgman, most people think is a Motorcycle at first, or some type of Hybrid. But I want to address what you said about Harley Drivers, they are the same fuckin way here man! It's just some weird Harley Elitist thing. I get waves from Ninja Guys, Aprilia guys, Triumph guys, Vespa Guys, Yamaha and Honda guys, but Harley guys just act like they are too cool to wave. Or maybe they can''t, Maybe if they take their hands off those ridiculous looking oversized handlebars to wave they're afraid they'll fall down. lol

      A rare incident and sadly unfortunate. I don't think waving is dangerous. It's supposed to be a subtle two fingers from the left hand and that's it. Barely take your hand off the grip. Sounds like that guy wasn't watching where he was going, number one priority.
