I have a '13 Highline. I'm convinced BMW would have sold a lot more of these if they just sounded better. I love riding mine, but I've never warmed up to the engine sound.

In late 2021, I got lucky and found my C650GT at a motorcycle shop near San Diego! I was looking for a new 2020, the last year they made them. Such a shame to discontinue this great bike at least in the USA. I live in Utah, so rented a car one-way to get to the store in CA to pick it up and ride back. A fun adventure, and 16 months later, one of the favorite purchases of my life!

@@SmileyoureonTV As luck would have it...I actually found an AS-NEW 2019 C650GT from a gent who'd purchased it for his 20-year old son...who rode it about three times. It's still under warranty and has ZERO issues that I can find. I had it shipped from Florida to Tennessee here in the USA. I used your other video to install a NOCO battery tender cable...thanks very much again! The scooter is great fun and has a MUCH nicer ride than the 2007 Suzuki Burgman 650 I once owned. Now...if I can just find a decent RUclips video on how to perform the oil/filter change on the C650GT...have you by any chance seen one? I ordered the BMW CD-ROM shop manual...but it'll be a while before it arrives from Italy.

I understand you had your BMW GPS mount installed at the dealer. However that said, do you have any idea how they removed the black "BMW" panel immediately underneath the BMW GPS mount? Unlike the pre-2016 models...I don't see a hex screw to remove the panel as used to be the case. Thanks very much again for letting me pick your brain!

    Hi,
Great review. I am on my second one - first one was a 2013 model and the actual one is a 2019! I realy like the bike. For me it is the best Maxi Scooter on the market. Differences from 1st series to this last one… mainly the transmission- much more effective and fast on the latest model, and the engine feels a bit more smooth and with a higher top end speed. Suspension wise it is also more balanced and with a better racio between confort and performance. The keys are also different, the alarm also different…much better in my opinion!
    Regards from Portugal 🇵🇹 ✌️

One of the things I notice about this bike is the travel of the screen is adequate but the width is insufficient. By that I mean it doesn't seem wide enough to do the job required - that is to keep the wind off the arms and chest especially at the fringes. I have a Suzuki Burgman AN Executive which also has an electrically adjustable screen (I think mine is non-standard) that is also wider and thus wind is kept off the hands as well. I consider the Suzuki the benchmark of maxi scooters so I would compare any other machine to it. Whilst I haven't ridden the BMW I know what I like and what the Burgman offers in terms of comfort, features and ability. Storage in the dash and under the seat as well as a top box make the Burgman good for the daily commute (although it's a bit big for that) as well as a great bike for touring the highways. It keeps up with the big tourers and sports bikes easily. I'm not critical of the BMW I just like the Burgman.
