Real Rashid does not get paid enough to put up with all this bullshit........ Wait... Does Real Rashid get paid??!
He either gets paid ridiculously well or gets paid absolutely nothing
honestly justice for the guy bro is in the ODDEST situation
I love that you have posters of all 3 actresses who've played Claudia behind you
I love them all dearly!
As someone who hasn't watched the movie or read the books, it's definitely more intense (but exciting) to not know where the story is going. I loved the season 2 premiere. I can't wait, when the show is over, to rewatch the series to pick up on all the foreshadowing and alluding. Nice recap/review!
daniel and armand kinda stole the episode for me 🫣 they were so cunty lmao
They had me SCREAMING the entire episode lol truly hilarious
I’m so intrigued by why Louis agrees to join forces with Armand against Daniel when his goals for the interview so clearly differs from Armand’s.
Do thier goals differ?
Louis thinking Lestat would be proud of him for killing him is such an interesting point to make! I love how Dreamstat will be a great way of letting us know more about Louis' true estate of mind and real feelings in Paris, is also very in character for Louis (someone who loves to withhold) to literally make up a hallucination in his head to express those feelings for him lmao
I loved your video, I'm very excited to keep watching them as the season goes on. ❤
Louis has always been FORCED to choose between them because they have both demanded that of him. He spent the entirety of S1:E6 running between them and trying to unite them. He will definitely always choose Lestat but he wishes more than anything that Claudia would be enough.
I really do believe the reason Louis feels Armand is boring is because he gets his mind wiped every time they get into a fight big enough to break them up. If all the hills and valleys of their relationship are sanded away every day can only be bland.
That kid called Claudia a crow. That’s why she pushes him!
Ahh okay! I know she asked what the prize of the game the kids were playing was and the kid said a crow but I didn't realize that he was calling her a crow. Now it's hilarious AND deserved
@@culturekitschyeah, some Romanian people have talked about that moment in the show and apparently it's like a racially charged word when it's used to refer to someone with darker skin in Romanian... So yeah, her pushing him was absolutely deserved! That little shit child was being racist.
what a great first episode! i just know we are in for a ride this new season
So happy to see your recaps on youtube. Your analysis is everything!
Thank you for watching it!
in the last ep of s1 Lestat really was happy, his relationship with Louis felt stable, he had a chance to kind of reprise his theatre days with that flamboyant extravagant display for mardi gras and they were leaving Louis' physical prison *new orleans*, and Louis knew that. That's why he thinks Lestat will also attack when he's happy
Omggg your analysis! ❤ Especially the last scene in the truck-- " I think a piece of him knows its always gonna be Lestat and I think a piece of Claudia knows that as well." 😭😭 its true but its such a tragedy. I really enjoyed your perspective and insight! I agree that this ep was a nice bridge leading into the season ❤
This was an excellent reaction! Love the details and deep dives. The Prime version still has DreamsStat dropping the F bomb.
I'm really enjoying watching Louis and Armand cling to one another while not admitting that they're just placeholders for their exes.
Louis talking about how terrible it would be for Claudia to not dream made me think that he was talking about himself. The only thing worse than remembering something terrible is have no memory of it at all. We(and Louis) will never know who he is until he is whole again. Why is Armand so worried about this?
it feels like the House in psychiatric hospital arc? An episode away from a lot of things, but about the core, sort of giving another perspective the audience might not get otherwise as story gets busier
the “i do” “i do” mimicking thing got me so bad lol, like it just scratches a particular part of my brain so nice
I watch a fair number of reaction/review videos, and as someone who really appreciates a detailed breakdown that isn't somewhat spoiled by unnecessary theatrics or an overpowering character/ship bias, I love your warm, conversational delivery a lot! Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the rest of the season - subscribed! 👏
Watching the (show) loumand vs loustat shippers fighting is HILARIOUS as a fairly neutral fan and honestly whatever gets the show more popular yk
incidentally, they're both wrong, louis x therapy is the only correct ship.
@@calamondin8918 You're so right! 😆
loved the chill vibes of this and can't wait to watch these recaps along with the season
Catching up on your recaps now and I love your points and insights!
Another thing that was fun personally for me in this episode was all the Romanian - I'm currently learning the language (for reasons of connecting to my family's heritage) and I loved how they used it a LOT. Kinda like they do with French in later episodes - there are times when it wouldn't make sense for the characters to speak English and the show isn't scared to make the actors speak foreign languages.
I love this video!!!!! Omg pls do more!
im always grateful to find another channel covering iwtv, cause i think its such an underrated show. So thank you for this, i love me some deep dives so ill be here every week. Ps. Love your voice, is so nice to listen to

This was great! Thanks! Your voice is also very warm & welcoming! ❤
bobbi, THANK YOU for this level of detail and dedication! i'll be back every week to hear your thoughts
I really enjoyed the analysis, do you think you could do it in a podcast format
Louis is completely delusional, to say of Lestat he will kill me when I'm happy....Louis knows that day may never come. So maybe that gives him comfort or some semblance of security.
During WW II to see to Black people voluntarily come to Hitler's part of the world is nuts, so surely it's shocking to Romanians. 😮
Louis doesn't fear Armand, maybe everyone else in the penthouse does but not him.
It's a Revenant.....from the dead or as you say Zombie vampires 🧛♂️
I love this video, and I love you, but please make the audio a little louder, I really struggle to hear you. Sorry if this is unwelcomed or rude. I just want to be able to hear you T_T
Not rude at all! I’ll make it a little louder next time. Thank you for letting me know!
My original comment is gone idk why but cool i spent so much time on it aswell.
Oh no! What did it say??
It was a whole dissertation on Louis and Armand. I'll try to rewrite it. It was very long I fear.
@@culturekitsch In my original comment I wasn't sure of the timeline but I have since rewatched the 1st episode of this season and Armand didn't leave the table/ interview after Louis said no, He only left after Daniel shouted at "Real Rashid" that him he can break. Armand hasn't outwardly stopped Louis from doing anything that wasn't directly harming Daniel such as when he played "Fake Rashid" in the 1st season. Louis lashed out at Daniel for asking more about Claudias Assult, Armand rushed in to calm him however, when Louis says no he tends to concede.
Even with the bedroom scene Armand didn't shift the conversation from the pages he conceded and said that he would have Rashid get the pages that they had torn out together and then asked to make his feelings known about the interview. I have seen other reactors say that Armand is cold/ not loving toward Louis While I agree that the power dynamic is less than equal, to me it seems that Louis holds all the cards romantically, when Armand accepts his request he kisses him but only once (like a transaction) an Armand lingers leaning closer for more but ultimately chose not to pursue Louis.
I also agree that the bars behind their bed are like a cage but Armand is the one sitting on the bed originally in there by himself, Louis comes from outside in and joins him in a prison of their own making. Seeing their bedroom layout gave me a brain blash of a line in one of the books "It was the love of Louis which had at times crippled Lestat, and enslaved Armand".There is also a picture of Judas on their bedroom wall and I can't fully say that it is a nod to Armand because we have seen Louis betray the ones he has loved.
My point in all of this is that I believe people tend to take Louis's agency. He is an active participant in this game/ relationship that they are playing with Daniel. I just kept being reminded of the trailer scene of when Daniel goes to meet a man and he says "You fear Armand, you should fear the other one" and how adamant Jacob Anderson was about his fears that the audience would like Louis this season.
