- This video is about Honda CT-125 Preview ~English Addition~ I'm going to buy a new Honda CT-125 and first I need to shop around. The place we went to today says there is a 6 month waiting period to get one. I say no way, this is the first video on the quest to buy a Honda CT-125......
Авто/Мото
This is the best video I've seen on this bike yet. Thanks for actually giving out specs.
Eddie, my first motorcycle was a '66 Honda CT90. Reliable as a hammer, 45 mph and had a rack in the back! Love your videos, keep it up!
Hey Roger, what's happening? I've got a picture of me on my quad at Cooperland just like the one on your RUclips Channel. Jason Lawson took my picture with me setting up for the turn in the woods just like you're doing. Glad you like my channel, I'm having a blast with it and since I retired, it gives me something to do. Keep watching, there will be more about the CT-125 coming and once I get it, more on what the terrain is like here in Chiang Mai Province in Thailand.....
Oh my goodness, that’s awesome, they have a wall full of accessories too!
This is at the Cub House here in Chiang Mai and they specialize in accessories for the Honda Cub, Monkey and CT models and it is also a coffee shop.....
thanks for the English version,I am looking to get one when they get the US hopefully by next spring.Keep us posted if you ever get your hands on one, thank you
I'm going to post a series of videos about my Quest for a CT-125 and then once I've gotten it, I'll be posting reviews in stock form and what I will do to improve it. Should be an interesting year. What color are you looking to get, I'm going to go with the red.......
I like it. I can't wait. Thank you Eddie. Take care. Mitch 🙏
Mitch, I'm anxious to get one and start doing some adventure videos on it. I've got a few plans for upgrade modifications for it to make it an ideal adventure bike for Thailand. I'm impressed with the bike, it really is something to see in person. Can't wait to ride one.....
Good luck! Please post videos of rides and your opinions on the bike! I'll be ordering my US version as soon as possible, I can't wait...!
The bike should be here in another week and a half. My plans are to do a series of videos with travels around Thailand. Be sure to watch them and I'll let you all know my suggestions on what will make this little machine a top notch adventure bike......
I sniff a viral video on the horizon for Eddie. Don't forget that Series Playlist matey.
Honda USA just announced the ct125 coming to the US 2021 model and only in red as of now.
I saw that, I'll do an update on this and the status on my bike, which is less than two weeks away. Thanks.......
A Retired Okie Living in Thailand u get it yet?
@@marcs8991 The dealership I ordered the bike from me lied just to get us to sign a deal. All ready a week overdue and probably won't get it for another three weeks. I'm doing a video on it today to explain what all went wrong and my attempts to get it here. Look for it......
Thank You for teasing us all (outside of ThailandJapan). There's a LOT of interest in U.S/Europe... Keep all our lusting ... NOT Want,,,,But NEED . Honda CT125..... DribbleX2 :-)
Cool video, cant wait for this thing to hit the US. I have been looking for something I can take to the keys and mountains for aux transpo.
I'm pretty sure this thing will do what I want here in Thailand. My Honda Wave is ok, just needs better suspension. However, the CT125 brings back memories of years gone by and the CT90 and CT110. I hope this bike will have the grunt needed in the hills.......
First, THANK YOU for taking us along to the Cub House (I liked the tire tread design around the shop floor instead of the usual painted foot prints) that place is like going to a department store to shop for your wheels, too cool. Your narration and close ups on the bike were great. What was the fuel tank and rear fender made of? I'm assuming the air box is heavy duty plastics? Second, the CT is a thing of beauty, but nowhere near as pretty as the wife so stay on her good side. I think the fact she took the time to go with you is very promising though. Third, I guess you get to keep your word and sell your other ride first? SIX MONTHS?!? I'm hopeful you can find an alternative dealer to get one sooner. Wow, if the fact they are selling faster than they can be made Honda should surely consider opening the market to other countries sooner than later. So that tidbit of backorder info you just shared is as very uplifting to hear. Your selection of the classic Red color is what I lean towards as well. Very classic and blingable. But the Fresco is cool in a commando sense of fashion as well so I'm a bit vexed on my decision. I saw where I think someone over there already custom painted their's the classic yellow color and that looked awesome too. That wall of accessories for it was immense! Keep us posted on your purchase adventures ahead. Hope your other ride sells ASAP. Thank for keeping your word and sharing your visit and findings. Made my day for sure.✌🙂👍
Really all this is only a coffee shop that sells a few select Honda bikes. I found out later that it isn't even a Certified Honda Dealer. This actually is nothing new here in Thailand. Just about any business can make a deal with a Certified Dealer and then sell bikes through their business...... The front fender and fuel tank look and feel like steel, not very thick, but adequate......
@@TeamDNFracing Wow, I guess the snazzy factor got me. I'm so use to our average bike shops in the US that are just basic. Thanks for the build info on the parts.
@@findingneutral Anytime.....
@@ruserious9577 There was a third bike in there that I didn't show, but it was even more heavily modified. I really wanted to see a stock bike so I went to a dealer today and bought one. New video being uploaded now. Bad thing, won't get the bike for another 60 days, such is the demand for these. Keep watching, there will be more to come.....
@@ruserious9577 I will keep an update once a week until I get the bike and then probably about every 3 days until I get it like I want it. I'm going to leave it stock at least for the first month and ride it in the terrain that I will be traveling on to see what needs changed and what can stay stock. There are some things I will put on it that won't change the handling or power but will allow me to use it like an adventure bike. Once I've tested it fairly, then I'll do some suspension mods and try to get a little more power from it. Probably nothing more than a Diablo full pipe but the big expense will be the suspension. Keep watching.....
Hey at 1:07 and in the photo for this video is a cub bag/backpack. Anyone know who makes this? Or where to get one?
If only it had the split transmission... no more low/high.
I know what you mean, wish it came with it. Once I get mine, I'll be doing some off roading here in Thailand and see if it has enough guts to pull itself along the trails.....
So refreshing to be in a mask free country...I want to move there...
Long wait Eddie, with the reputation of that motorcycle and knowing them, I would not like to wait be if one has to. What colour takes your fancy?
Going to get the red one if I can find one......
Hey there. you ever ride 2 up? even with honda 44 lbs. weight limit on rear rack?
My wife doesn't care to much for motorcycles, so I don't ride two up........
If these sell for less than $4,500 in the US, they'll sell a good number of them. If they price it below $4K, they'll sell like crazy!
Thanks for the comment. From everything I've been hearing here in Thailand is the bike should be available in Europe and America late next year. Probably a 2022 model. They are still having trouble filling orders now in Thailand and Japan. The wait times range from 2 to 6 months in both countries. I also heard the release in Australia was set for this month, so far, no new news on that, but if the availability here in Thailand and in Japan is any indication, they are not getting them in Australia yet. As for the prices, about $2,700 US dollars here in Thailand, about $4,000 US in Japan and $6,000 Aus. in Australia which is about $4,000 US. I've heard that the US market price will be between $4,000 and $4,500, so expect the sales to be pretty high there. Again, thanks for the comment......
I disagree....$4000 USD for a scooter? I think they'll only sell to wealthy eccentrics.
@@JohnDoe-xr5is I guess that includes me and my teenage son. We just decided to buy a couple when they come out and go on back roads/trail riding adventure trip once we get them. It will also be great for when he goes away to college in a couple years. Buying a decent Trail 90 from the 70's costs over $2K here in the US. With Honda reliability, you could have one of these for the rest of your life. Just seems like a lot of fun to me.
Good day Mitch
Do you have any idea of the procedure a foreigner would have to go through to get the bike registered in their name ?
I would like to buy the CT 125 in Thailand and then attempt a ride back to the UK . Probably have to freight over Myanmar though. I saw some videos of a couple that are attempting the trip on Monkeys.
My understanding is proof of residency and a Thai motorcycle drivers license can get it in your name when purchased. Give it a try and see, my bike should be here in another 40 to 45 days..... My name is Eddie...... Good luck.....

Eddie , my apologies for getting your name wrong.
Thank you for your answer.
Regards. Peter
@@pantiltmonkey Alls good, don't worry about it......
Peter I want to do the same... Let’s go
would love to get a few brochures of the bike can you get me some?
Where are you located at Mitch? I'm in Chiang Mai, Thailand and plan on going to the Honda shop this next week to check on the progress of when my bike is due in. Brochures are not something they supply a lot of here in Thailand, but I will get what they have and send to you. Need an address is all......
@@TeamDNFracing I live in Los Angeles
@@mitcho399 Send me a friend request on Facebook. My name is Eddie Bright and you'll see me racing my quad as my picture. That way I can send you a PM on messenger and I can get your mailing address. Checked out you RUclips Chanel but could not find anyway to contact you......
Can't wait for them to come to the UK i will sell maybe my ltz400 to buy one
You can never have to many motorcycles......
@@TeamDNFracing i got 3 allready
@@danforbes4513 You got the new CT125 or the older 90 and 110....????
@@TeamDNFracing no i have 3 bikes so when the ct 125 comes to uk i will have to sell a bike to make room in my back yard for it.
@@danforbes4513 I see, however, you can never have to many motorcycles......
How much money did it take for you to retire to Thailand?
Believe it or not, I live off my Social Security check each month. It's not great, but money seems to last much longer here. Housing is much cheaper, food is much cheaper and ordinary goods like clothes, tools, household items are much cheaper. It is the tropics so no need for heating fuel to warm your house. However, a car or pickup still cost quite a bit, but the scooters are very reasonable in price and get fantastic fuel economy. Cost of living is probably a third what it is in the US........
@@TeamDNFracing Thanks for the info. I'd like to do what you're doing some day when I can retire. Seems you're living the life!
@@mmaaddict78 Once I retired and made the move to Thailand, it seems my health has improved, don't know if it was because I was working so hard, or if the tropical climate is what did it, but I'm having the time of my life living here, you would too.....
@@TeamDNFracing Great to hear about your health. Seems you have a great life over there! Keep up the good work letting us have a window into your world.
It will be too expensive in many places. If it comes to Australia, it will be the same price as a RE Himalayan.
Delivery dates for Australia were supposed to be in August, check your local Honda dealer, they should have info on them......
No price tag - No Oil Presure Light!
Fast forward to November 202, the hysteria surrounding this bike is a breathtaking example of Honda's marketing hyperbole and playing coy with sending this TOY, to other countries. Good job Honda, and shame on us, suckers, falling for it lol.
Oh,,,, but you'll be glad you fell for it once you get one. This thing is a lot of fun to ride on mountain rides. I'm having a blast on this thing......
@@TeamDNFracing I'm sure it can be fun, for some. I live in the concrete jungle of New York City. Swarming with kamikaze yellow cabs and pot hole traps for road surfaces. Not so many mountains, here.
@@jamesdspaderf2883 You don't need mountains to enjoy this little bike. With the stock sprockets and gearing, it is perfect for city driving. You'd be surprised how much easier it would be to get around in NY City.......
My girl laughed at me and said I was too big for that one.. you're not getting any shit for no mask?
If you noticed that nobody inside the store had a mask on. Mine was in my pocket and I'd of put it on if they had a policy, but here in Thailand, things have really calmed down lately so not really a big deal anymore...... On being to big for this bike, you never know till you try one......
$4000 USD for a scooter? These will not sell in America. They'll be purchased mostly by wealthy eccentrics. They will sell well in other parts of the world, but not in America. You can buy a nice used motorcycle, only a few years old with low mileage for less than $4000 in America.
As of now, they seem to be selling pretty good in Japan and Australia, it would be nice if the price wasn't so high......
They could sell thousands of these if they would produce them and get them here. Typical Honda fashion. They will probably discontinue it before you can get them readily.
Thailand is somewhat locked down and has been ever since Covid started hitting this country. That effects what most any business can do especially in the Bangkok area which is where the factory that makes the CT is located. I really do believe they are making as many as they can with all the restrictions the Thai Government has on the country.........
makes sense@@TeamDNFracing
@Honda USA - We need this - Contact me!!!
Will do..... How do I get hold of you?
@@TeamDNFracing He's trying to get Honda America's attention since they aren't released in America yet. I've actually been trying to see if its legal to import one to the states.
@@AceXwilD Just made another trip on my Quest for the CT-125 and put the money down on one today. Bad news, it will be another 60 days before I get my hands on it. The demand here in Thailand is ridiculous and if it stays that way very long, you probably won't be seeing these bikes go anywhere but in Asia for now. However, the report is that sometime in August, they will start shipping them to Australia. As for you buying one here and shipping it to the states, you might have to go through some red tape that may take longer than when Honda decides to open up the US market. I'm going to keep reporting on this at least once a week so keep a listen and see what comes out of the news. The only guy I knew at American Honda, just retired so I don't have any link to them anymore. The interest in this bike worldwide is to much for Honda to not up the production and start shipping them outside of Asia. It will happen, but maybe not till 2021......
@@TeamDNFracing thanks keep us posted in the US we want them lol
@@jayroth6110 I will do a update once a week until I get it. I'll be posting what accessories I will be getting to add to the bike and why. You never know, I may be the first American to get one.......
too expensive * bummed *
I think they are too expensive also, but here in Thailand the price is very affordable and the riding weather is great year round. Thanks for the comment......
@@TeamDNFracing In the US they will run about 4 grand. Not when they'll be in Vietnam, probably they'll import from Thailand. A new Cub here in HCMC runs about $3500 USD. Can't imagine the Hunter Cub will be any cheaper.
$7900.00 in Australia.
