    The peak amplitude of the source is not 230V because that's the RMS value. Provided the power-factor is above 0.95 and the voltage is actually a 230V RMS sine-wave, the peak voltage value will be (230 x 1.414) volts which is roughly 325 Volts.

      Yes you are right mate. This was just a typical example to show the nature of waveforms. So I dint focus on the actual peak amplitude. But if you see all my other videos I have used 325v only. Good catch :)

    Is TRIAC not available in Simulink? so you used two parallel SCRs?

      I could not find them to be honest. But in the latest versions of matlab you can check.
