I am currently reading the Bible all the way through. I have never done this before. It is my journey to understand it more. I'm currently on the end of 1 Kings about to start 2 Kings. ❤ I'm loving these Saturday lessons. God Bless

Thank you pastor Alister, I enjoy how you cut to the chase. I couldn't agree more with what you were saying about those who try to interpret and reinterpret scripture that is straight forward. I really can't agree with your first question and answer about singing praise to God 🤔 What if every day the people woke up and sang praises to God? What kind of out come do you think this world would be in? Instead of people sitting on a bench ; like a bump on a log, listening to a ( MAN) tell them what and who GOD is? How's that working for you and other churches? People sitting there silent to God? No praise! No worship! Just going about the every day things. Don't GOD want the people's praise? Their worship? Their singing unto HIM? THEIR REJOICING IN HIM? INSTEAD OF SITTING LIKE A NOT ON A LOG. LISTENING TO A MAN GIVE HIS IMAGE OF GOD? GOD IS A PERSONAL IMAGE OF EVERY MAN, A PERSONAL CONFECTION TO HIM, A PERSONAL AFFECTION FOR HIM. SO I AS AGAIN?? HOW WOULD WORSHIPPING GOD ONLY, BE A PROBLEM, IF ALL DID IT?
Most of these podcasts are taken from Alistair's services at Parkside church. If you watch the service they ALWAYS start with a few songs of worship and at the end. If all people did at church was sing how does the newcomer hear the gospel? The church isn't dead it just doesn't meet your expectations of the church you grew up in. Maybe invite some friends over and sing praises at a time of your choice. Have a blessed day. 🙏😊🙏
