For the record, most Plugin Alliance plugins have the equivalent of "nuance deviation." They call it TMT, which stands for Tolerance Modeling Technology. I believe all of their channel strips, EQs, and compressors have it.
Yes ! . . . I Love my PA subscription and the Bx add ons, such as TMT, Mono Maker, Headroom, ect . . . Yet the Nuance Devition is a unique variation to the TMT . . . In ND, each channel is Fixed . . . so, Channel 20 will sound exactly like Channel 20 in Every instance of the plugin . . . Whereas, TMT randomizes to the point where Channel 20 on each instance of the same plugin will sound different in each instance . . . So, ND is a very welcome innovation of Dirk's initial vision . . . ! . . . 🙂 (-;
Cool video. I'm thinking of the bundle of their preamps (NEED bundle). which one is your favorite of the bundle, and does it make sense to have them all?
The Bundle is totally worth it ! I started with the Need 84, then demoed the 73, the 81, the 533, and the Pre amps . . . Within a day, I bought the Bundle . . . ! . . . 🙂 (-; . . . KIT makes great stuff, as well . . . Yet, their Neve eq is the price of the entire Need Bundle ($149) . . . !?@y@?! I put the 84 after the Lindell 80 (Neve 8028 which is a 73/84 combo) , and it is pure magic . . . ! . . . So I had to get the Need 73 . . . !?@y@?! This Need 533 is the Neve Portico 5053 . . . Steinberg's version goes for $399 . . . !?@y@?! . . . the Need 533 is $49 . . . ! . . . 🙂 (-; . . . The 84 is immediately delicious and nutritious . . . Yet the 533 is a real workhorse eq . . . as its versatility becomes more apparent, each time I use it . . . ! (-;
The 81 is some people's favorite, like the 84 has been mine . . . Yes, it definitely makes sense to have them All . . Especially at this price . . . the 84 and the 73, are a perfect fit for my current mix . . . yet the 81 would be a better fit on other sources . . . ! . . . Same with the 31102 . . . ! . . . And the 533 is finding its way everywhere in between the in betweens . . . ! . . . 🙂 (-;
Great walk through first time seeing your channel and a thumbs 👍 Question for a sub How do you get the Q clone eq plugin to move (react) when making changes on the NEED 553 ?
Hey. Thanks for the support and I am glad you enjoyed the video. In regards to your question, seeing up qclone to work with either plugins or hardware is fairly simple. I'll do my best to try to explain it here on this comment but note I will also be putting out a video on how to use qlone in the near future. Below I have left the steps. 1. Create 2 mono aux tracks 2. On the first aux track, make sure the input and output are the same. Ex: input and output set to bus 1. 3. On the insert of the 1st aux place an instance of q-capture. This plugin sends a continuous signal sweeps. If your routing is done correctly as described in step 2, you will see the signal sweeps in the receiving section of the plugin effectively creating a feedback loop. 4. Just after the q-capture insert, open any eq or compressor that you want to watch the behavior as you make changes to. With this we are Essentially send our signal sweeps out of q-capture, into our eq, out to our output, back into our input, returning to q-capture. 5. Now that our feedback loop is setup, all we need to do is open q clone on our second aux and click capture. Now any changes you make to your eq, you will now see it in q clone. Hope this helped and stay subbed for my.more detailed video tutorial. :)
