I've never seen an actor so terrified to die from a none existent creature, but this guy nailed it. Plus indoraptor looks so real, feels so alive and is sooo terrifying. amazing
Oh, he wasn't scared of a nonexistent creature. They used a real indoraptor to film this season. It was Ken Wheatley who was a nonexistent CGI creation. If anyone deserves an award it's the Indoraptor, for realistically acting alongside something that wasn't there.
My mom actually grew up with one of the artists that worked on this film and most of the previous ones, except Jurassic world 3. His name is Glen Macintosh (idk how to spell the last name) and my mom said that when they were children, he would draw dinosaurs for her and her siblings!
As someone who hasn't watched the movie yet, the first few seconds of this scene does an INCREDIBLE job telling me everything I need to know about Wheatley. 1. Doesn't pay any attention to the mess that is the room before calling out: VERY poor survival instincts 2. Yells for his boss in a demanding tone: Has a high opinion of himself 3. "I WANT MY BONUS!": Only in it for the money
Also,as supposed hunter,Wheately doesn't appear to know that tranquilizers aren't magic and that they don't instantly work on an animal. They(tranquilizers)can take time to take effect. If he were smarter,it might have occurred to him that something was amiss when The Indoraptor just instantly dropped to the ground unconscious.I enjoyed the movie but a gripe I have with a lot of movies like this is how dumb they make characters in order to further the plot and get the action happening.
John Smith now that it’s out (I’m on episode 6, season 3) it’s just sad to see that it’s only the Scorpius rex, I thought it was the indo raptor until my friend the other day told me about another hybrid dinosaur, I then realized that the indo raptor isn’t in Isla Nublar, I mean, I was sad in all but, oh boy! A hybrid I never saw before, just to add to that, it has poison quills, I believe that the scorpius rex is the most powerful hybrid, although the indo raptor is a fair match if they ever were to fight...
@@turbosoggyofficial6849 I suppose a fully developed Indoraptor could take the Scorpius rex out provided it could shield its face from those poisonous quills.
It takes A WHILE for tranquilizer darts to work on reptiles. When I saw this scene, I knew exactly what was going to happen. I knew it was pretending 😏😉
It's incredible how idiots tend to gather in such occasions: -the guy who enters a giant raptor's cell not knowing how well his bullets will work when it comes to making it fall asleep since he never dealt with that kind of hybrid creature before -the woman who was hiding silently but suddenly started screaming just because she saw the creature eating someone, even though she already knew it was happening as she's clearly not deaf. -the guy who knew the code of the elevator, and who brutally pushed the woman right in front of the dinosaur although obviously the right thing to do was to AVOID baiting him with even more food. You'd think they'd be a little smarter but noooo, of course they gotta be complete idiots xD
Well to be fair, it is not like he would know that the Indoraptor would have resistance to tranquilizers, and the woman while she would have easily moved to hiding, was likely afraid and having watched a man get eaten alive would traumatic anyone, especially rich people like that who are not use to brutal real world things.
I just noticed how when the indoraptor fakes passing out, she slumps backwards so that her head (the most valuable part of her body and therefore the thing he is most likely to go for) is on the opposite end of the cage from the door. Smart detail.

The book describing the deaths is scarier than the actual deaths in the movies. Dr Wu and Hammond both die. Dr Wu gets jumped on by a velociraptor and his intestines get ripped out. Hammond gets found by the compys. And also Ed Rigis dies to the baby T rex
FUN FACT: there was a deleted scene involving an electrician going into the indoraptor pen to repair a light and it did the same to him after pretending to go down after two darts. They figured out they needed three darts to fully tranq it. I wish they hadn’t deleted that scene as it explains the significance of the “two darts” story Shoutout to @KlaytonFioriti for the information
It also involved the indoraptor killing him and a scene later, they show the indoraptor playing with the guy's skull like a cat playing with a mouse toy, pretty dark
This scene is one of the funniest scenes to me because this shows how stupid and selfish humans can be. The dude risked his life for a tooth. Then you have a dude who pushed a woman out of the way so he could be safe when there was room on the other side. The lady is probably the stupidest person in the room because she screamed for absolutely no reason! The best part is the Indoraptor outsmarting all of them. It really shows how intelligent animals are.
TBF the woman was standing in front of the control panel for the elevator so he pushed her out of the way so he could operate it but yes the scream was ridiculous
She screamed because she was terrified. You think it's stupid, but you have no idea how you'd react in such a terrifying situation yourself. It's so easy to judge from the comfort of your armchair, but it's another thing to realize that you most likely would not the protagonist of these action films, but one of the dumb side characters panicking to your doom.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 no the whole bit about armchair psychology felt unnecessary lol. Doubt anybodys going to scream that obviously in a situation like that, its just bad writing. For plot advancement purposes. Youre not an armchair psychologist if you point that out

Unfortunately, he didn't know that the Indoraptor needed three tranquilizers instead of the two other dinosaurs needed which led to his death.
2:17 that roar from the indoraptor has a high pitched screech to it. He makes the same sound again as he's about to kill the people in the elevator at 3:19. I think this sound is basically ripper laughing psychotically. The growl/rumble he makes before the roar is the equivalent of his laughter building up before the extreme burst of laughter. It’s part snake. Also it’s related to birds. Two animals that eat things whole. Ever seen a pelican those things eat fcking duck chicks and pigeons whole
I love how the guy shoots the Indoraptor twice and was gonna go for a third but stopped when the indoraptor started to sway and fall. The look on his face made it seems he was kind of confused on how easily it was taken down with only 2 shots as if he had expected/predicted more. Guy shoulda trusted his instincts.
Although I 100% agree with this statement, I don't think it would've done much good if he did shot at it a third time. Seeing as the beast was only letting him think that it was knocked out unconscious supposedly.
What I think is funny is nobody is commenting on how good this could of been as a rated R film, showing full detail of the indo-raptor toying with its prey ripping small chunks at a time off it’s victim still alive! And everyone is just helpless not being able to do anything but watch.
1:30 You have to admit, the indoraptor smiling and moving its tail almost like from a cartoon has to be one of the most adorable moment despite being one of the most ferocious creature ever created.
Ehhhh... It feels more horrifying and less cartoony. the 2 main hybrid strains probably had human DNA, they have opposable thumbs, much higher IQ than they should have and the ability to sense emotion (last one really only applies to the indo)
@@Amp661 Um… it’s actually sinister, not cartoony. What I mean is that there was a deleted scene of it being abused by mercenaries until it caught one smiling and learned to replicate it, and it was smiling there because it believes that smiling is what you do before you hurt someone.

Nah, the guy that went in pretty much take the cake. There was absolutely no reason at all to go in there, whatever he needed be done can be done from outside of the cage.
When the indoraptor eats him, what gets me... is not how loud he is screaming....its how LONG. Dude was conscious through all of it. Like no i would have shot myself.
This scene is extremely brutal. I think the wink was added just so to soften the blow. I am almost 40, seen many horror films, but this close up of the dismemberment plus the agony of the guy knowing he was going to be mullered to death is deeply impactful.
@@PadawanBarrissOffee I don't know Muldoon's ambush by the, Clever Girl in the 1st movie is still pretty narly. No doubt this scene was a homage to that scene, with him getting mauled in the background.
He was screaming right up until the moment the woman in the elevator did, which leads me to believe that the Indo was just torturing him, he may have been still alive for a short while until he ultimately bled out. Or the Indo killed him as soon as it noticed the others. The fact that it was mauling him whilst he was alive for so long is pretty harrowing though.

Oh, he wasn't scared of a nonexistent creature. They used a real indoraptor to film this season. It was Ken Wheatley who was a nonexistent CGI creation. If anyone deserves an award it's the Indoraptor, for realistically acting alongside something that wasn't there.

As someone who hasn't watched the movie yet, the first few seconds of this scene does an INCREDIBLE job telling me everything I need to know about Wheatley.
1. Doesn't pay any attention to the mess that is the room before calling out: VERY poor survival instincts
2. Yells for his boss in a demanding tone: Has a high opinion of himself
3. "I WANT MY BONUS!": Only in it for the money
That goes to show you how stupid he is and that is status as a bigtime hunter might be fake.
He's basically a typical anime villain with the first two description you have of him.
He died without getting that bonus. Such a very miserable way to die

2:17 that roar from the indoraptor has a high pitched screech to it. He makes the same sound again as he's about to kill the people in the elevator at 3:19.
