For a 15 year old his skills are really good, I can see him dominating the scene in a few years Yeah he might have lost this match, but you'll never get any better if you don't suffer a few defeats by people stronger than you
For a 15 yo, going up against a community fav zerg player, who has played the game since the beging, he aint half bad. Keep it up bro! Thanks for the awesome cast Lowko! 😁👌
Damn... I know he's 15... but to see there is this much skill gap between grandmasters... it's mindboggling. Scarlett was just toying with him. For reference, Arrogfire is #91 and Scarlett is #32 in Aligulac.
Lowko is often asked on his stream to do show match with some Pro player. Oftentimes he has to explain at length how much skill gap is between him and any proplayer and how much is it between top100 and top20 and then to top3. This is great example.
I don't know if it's just me, but Arrogfire to me seems like he's fast enough to keep up with Scarlett, but slow enough that I can really see the intention behind his moves specifically.
He's 15? Wow. He plays very good micro. Using the Adepts shade like blink in combat, canceling only half of them, putting the healthy in front, finding choke point... This is unreal.
@@Tommybotham I mean yeah if you're gonna be a pro player at a game chances are you started early in life where you have that kind of free time to put in the hours
Lowko, when I said to myself I wanted to see more scarlett wins on the channel, a) how did you hear me, I'm on the other side of the atlantic, and b) I didn't mean free wins lol Fr tho, kid's got some *damn* fine micro, but he needs more metagame under his belt. And jokes aside, that first game was the finest ZvP switcheroo I've ever seen
Man... I switched tabs to do some work right after the second game started. I got back to this and saw an adept at the front of Zerg's base and I was like... What? Did I just lose track of time? I was sure it was under a minute, but already an adept? I had to rewind to the start of the second game to check if Lowko do some skipping and yeah... What a relief he actually did. Lol.
It's endearing how you are casting the new person as if you were coaching them. "and bring it forward, yes bring the immortal forward" If you aren't already, you have high potential of being a naturally good dad. If you aren't yet, I highly recommend it.
Damn being 15 and his this good. Ofc there is a huge skill gap by people like scarlet, but he has a bright future (ik rts is dying but you get my point)
Ravagers are really good and even Swarm Hosts can be used to stop a one base contain. A Nydus can also come out pretty quickly if you spend too much on Cannons.
Edit: that awkward moment you realize you addressed a comment that Lowko commented on first.. effective cannon rushes partially use this strategy. It's typically better to cannon rush the natural expansion 1) because Toss can build before the creep spreads. 2) because it 'contains' the zerg to 1 base or separates their 1st and 3rd bases. Lowko has a few videos casting and you'll see that GM zerg players can frequently break the cannon contain with about as many resources as the toss invests into the the cannons so it ends up being about equal in the end - the only edge it gives is that it can throw the zerg off their game especially if they' don't know how to counter and that can sometimes give the Toss a chance to build a lead.
Besides, if anything, Zerg has the most mobile "static" defense, they can uproot them, walk them to a new locale and burrow them, making them ready to fight, provided there is a comfy slime-rug and that can be vomited out by an overlord in a pinch, but high level players are insane in covering the map with creeptumors anyways. I 'member a match of Serral, covering half the map in Sporecrawlers - slight exxageration, iirc he slapped down ~40 or something - inching them towards the Protoss to counter the dreaded "Deathball of Airtoss" and it was really disgusting to watch, there was nothing the Protoss could do, get near the forest of spores and Serral yoinked them in with Vipers, move around them and Serral could drop the hammer on the bases.
Its decided by the pacing of the game, the tech and unit both side on. So its getting a bit differ each game. But to put it simple, early is about scouting, cheese or build your eco. Mid game is usually when ya see some timming attack, players getting their upgrades. Late game is all the time when they got all the upgrades, having the ultimate army of their races.
I second this request. I have an autistic son who knows nothing about Starcraft, but his face still lights up with joy every time he hears "Hello, everyone, my name is Lowko!" emanating from my speakers. 🙂
hey starcraft player. Can you tech me how to play starcraft on pvp mode? I'm new player in this game and my friends party keep hit and kill me in the all games
Hi lowko one suggestion: post more cheese. I know you like the late macro games but I think most viewers prefer shorter cheese games. Especially given how long and boring many macro games get.
Frost Giant will probably fail. It is highly likely that they'll commit the same mistake as Relic Entertainment with Age4, focusing on 1v1 multiplayer. Then again, they were involved in SC2, which has a great campaign, which is the selling point for a broad audience.
@@tristancourtney5516 Not even top-tier pros have the skill level to save individual marines with any sort of consistency. Plus the medivac has to be over the top of them and vulnerable.
I don’t get why people think Scarlet games are fun it’s either he gets his azz handed to him by better players or he’s just toying with lower tier pros
It's 'cause Scarlett often uses 'weird' builds that make the games messier and less predictable. If you watch a lot of SC2, the games are often very samey and repetitive. Having someone that's a relatively good standard player but who also will often do things differently makes for more fun games.

Does Protoss ever try and "bottle up" zerg by putting cannons where they have to exit their base?
It's useless, Zerg can break that siege by using ravagers, their biles can outrange the canons, so they can kill the canons without taking any hits
