Keys is going to be tough to beat for Fairytale of the Year at this years Tennis Talk Awards. Tough draw, overcomes her past demons, wins a slam just before 30, repeatedly comes up clutch and takes it to another level against #2 and #1
I did call Keys as a contender for a good run at the AO, but was still surprised she actually won the thing. After watching her match against Swiatek, her movement was slowing down and I had a feeling she'd get run around the court too much by Sabalenka and would lose in the final. Turned out Sabalenka was the one getting run around, and honestly her footwork was pretty subpar. Keys took full advantage of that.

I think a healthy version of the Djokovic we saw at this AO would've gave him his best challenge. Alcaraz too. Everyone else is behind on this faster type of hard court that is clearly Sinner's best surface (medium to fast HC, indoor HC). AO is one of the fastest HCs in the year.

She didn't crash out in tough moments like she used to. Tennis is 94% mental/emotional. I predict that she will be a problem at the other Slams this year and win another one. Huh? Cam literally watched 3 matches at the same time for the viewers and did his best commentating all them. He does read and listen to chat. He does say some things that are wrong at times but that's everyone. Also he stated his favourite is Lleyton Hewitt, and current is Nick Kyrgios

I don't watch all of his streams or stay for the whole stream but even I know his fav male player is Lleyton Hewitt and fav female player is Dasha. He is partial to the GOATs since he dedicated a week to watching Rafa during Bastad and watches every match Nole plays. And he loves watching Alcaraz. He points out the positives and strengths of many players and doesn't talk down about anyone which we all appreciate. Why would he need to have a favourite anyway? He enjoys tennis and brings excitement to his commentary. As for sleep, commentating on tennis matches is his profession, this is how he makes his money. I'm a nurse who used to work swing shifts and nobody tells me I need to sleep when I'm working because I sleep when I get home, whether I work night or day. Cam just adjusts his sleep schedule around each tournament. Is it the healthiest? No, but many people work at odd hours and it is their right to do so. Everyone makes some sacrifice for their work. And Cam does make an effort to respond to comments when a match is progressing slowly and between changeovers, but do you expect him to pay as much attention to the chat when a match gets exciting? He is a commentator first so he will prioritize that, but still he responds to a lot of messages.
