Beautiful rainbow! Despite the rain it still looked very enjoyable. Loved the little story about the soiling of pants😆, happens to the best of us I suppose. I absolutely love the lake, I've spent a lot of time on the rivers and lakes and get to the oceans when I can. If it wasn't so expensive I'd have waterfront property. I like areas that are wooded too over the areas sans trees so this is right up my alley. I noticed the dogs being very common last time I visited the family in Germany, you'd not see that often here in the states but there are places here and there where leashed dogs are welcome on patio areas. Of course service animals are the exception.
Derwent water is beautiful. My favourite lake. I love it there. I think the rhyme is I'm not the pheasant plucker I'm the pheasant plucker's son And I'm only plucking pheasants Til the pheasant plucker comes I'm sure with your excellent diction you can say it without swearing! Thank you for taking us along another walk. I'm loving these videos Roger. It's good to see Daisy getting more confident.
Hi Roger (or is it Julian Clary?), a rather nice video of your walk around Derwent Water. I note that you don't stop for photo opportunities (such as 17:36, where a very low angle shot across the tangled roots and across the expanse of water would have provided quite a nice landscape) or even earlier at Hawes Jetty (potential for a very nice selfie on the jetty). Video does not always do the scenery justice, still photography does, and it will compliment your videography. I'll be doing the same walk around Derwent this coming September as I have booked a 3 night weekend, specifically to capture images of and around the lake, and also to ascend Catbells and walk in the opposite direction you took along the western shoreline. I will also be visiting Castlerigg, Great Wood, Ashness Bridge and the Falls of Lodore. You are not short of things to do in a weekend while at Keswick. I have been able to use your video as a 'virtual' scouting trip for locations, whilst noting the weather. Thanks.
Another great video thanx Roge & Mark, the scenery like a picture post card, so beautiful. I sympathise with Mark with the shating of the briefs! I'm 56 and been there too! Just when you think your gona trump, then all hell breaks loose!!!! If it makes him feel any better, tell him he has a very "pert" bum!!!! Take care, love Tottenham Lee. X
I love Derwent Water so much. Your video captures it beautifully. Molly is in her element isn't she bless her? I can't wait for the next instalment - thank you for sharing your walks Roger
It doesn't matter what time because the weather is so changeable and unpredicatable. Sometimes we get what feels like a summer day in spring or really chilly weather in summer.
I enjoyed hiking, walking and swimming here in July. Nice video
Another lovely video. Thoroughly enjoying your holiday videos. Thank you for uploading them, Roger.

I thought it was a complete rhyme. I will have to try it in a future video.

Yes, he's fine from the waist down.

Molly loves the long walks. There's a couple more videos to come before my Keswick series is over.
i am loving these holiday videos Roger thank you
Thanks Louise, a couple more to come.....
Totally love the lakes. Used to go to Ambleside quite a bit and loved it. Always rented a cottage from Cumbrian cottages which were good.
A couple more Lakeland videos coming up.
the lake its self looks like a scene out of Harry Potter, or is it me?? either way its super pretty!
At least the sign didn't say "Ladies, dismount."
Is it normally overcast and gloomy in England? When is the best time to visit the UK?

What are you doing now
