  • Hello, you all 🥰
I'm back and I'm so happy about it. Summer has gone so past, it is always fast and furious here in the North 😁
In this video, I share what we've been up to this summer. How the amazing season of 24/7 of light and little has gone by with little, super annoying guests that we can never get used to 🙈
This ended up being a bit long, almost 30 minutes video, because I got excited about talking more about life in Finland, our customs, and a little about our mythology and history, too. So, take a good posture on a cozy sofa and enjoy this dip into summer in Finland ☺️
    Yours,
    Sanna

In 1989 I was hiking in Finland in july. I was there for 3 weeks because at the end of my hike I had an european
Archery competition in a place east of Helsinki. I started at Romanievie and use youth hostels. I had tyhe most wonderful hike up to the north Inari and had my sauna and swimm in the lake. I felt like I was the first living being of creation. There was nobody. The horizon and te sky were completely empty of anything a human could make or do. No airplane stripes, no church spires no houses. Just nature. Nature was so unique presenting a soft springy carpet to make walking like flying and the trees no higher than your knees you felt like a giant. It was warm at night 27 C and the sun always in the same place of aha coffee time. I could even go gold digging with a pan in te river and sleep in a wooden tny house with a fire. Putiing back wood the next day for my next guest. I felt I would like to live there for the rest of my life. My ancesters coming from somewhere there in the north must have wakened a few dna in me. On th way down back direction of the sportsevent I went into many other interesting nattute reserves near te Russian border. I could just walk acros if I wanted to, but no. I had my competition and arrive there on time. Finland is so so large. So once I took a train because on subdays you have no transportation an walking too far. Som km by lifting but that was not a big help as to teducing the distance. But finaly I ended up in Helsinki in the old Olympic housing which is now a hostel. And yes I wa son time for the internatinel competition which went well. I got some prize. The others of my group from Holland had taken my gear and bow. So I can r Finland, no matter which place it is all brautifull and interresting.

@@kristinesugala4492lonely and boredom are just the side effects the real problem is that it's a harsh climate and it takes a special understanding of the climate and toughness in order to survive. It's so much fun to see the landscape there. I live in the US near Lake Superior, where a lot of people settled from Finland. We have a lot of the same berries, flowers, moss, lichen and trees that you have. Historically our houses, canoes and many other things were made from birch bark, so likewise there are not a lot of ancient material artifacts, other than small, practical objects made from copper or stone. Oh, and we have brutal mosquitos, too!

Sanna, your film was captivating. We are an Anglo Dutch couple living near Arnhem in a village called Oosterbeek in the Netherlands. We have two daughers in their late 20's called Sanna and Freya. Spiritually we possibly are very similar; I am a Sibelius freak, and it was certainly nature that inspired him. We love Scandanavian art, and have visited a beautiful art gallery in Skagen at the northern tip of Denmark. The vast areas of forest and tundra around you, must have been very influential in the formation of your character. You must be tolerant to be able to stand those mosquitos, although you say you will never get used to them. Good luck with the house hunting. There are housing shortages everywhere. Good Luck Brian...PS Great English. I presume you speak Finnish, but Swedish also?

Thank you ... being a keeper of the Sacredness of life's living love is an AlmightyMission upon 🌎...so humbling in Finland. My tears ❇ sparkle as they travel the channels from my soul as I view your precious youtubing gift from Finland.
You mentioned your journey to (what sounded as Sesche Rock) ancient Sacredness embodiment at a pilgrimage site..
I have in my life a DrusyQuartz significant and sacred. As keeper to this Rock of more than 3 decades, I have needed to locate where this belongs...CroneAge I am and I must admit I cannot leave this rock tossed upon serendipity.
I realize communicating about where the site location is at...is more of a drag... so please if you do read this...affirm upon the magnificent spectrum of magnetism...
DrusyQuartz will navigate to the SacredRock where it belongs amid all the other sacred relics.
Hopefully, contacting the Norwegian Govt will be an excellent compass to this Rock's journey ... and the ?Sesche? Rock keepers won't mind at all placing DrusyQuartz there free from any Rock & hard place.

Your land and forest is similar to ours in Northern Michigan. I assumed you also had hordes of insects pests too. I was glad to see you "come clean"! We also have 64 species of black flies.BITERS! Plus at least 6 species of mosquitoes. Also we have tiny biters that can get through the standard mesh used on house screens. We call them "Noseeems"
I love your channel and tour of Finland, and the share of your life.

Yes, I've heard that Northern Michigan is similar to Finland. I think many Finnish people have moved there back in the days to find work and food. But ugh, those biters sound rough! I don't envy you 🙈 W do have a LOT of mosquitoes and a couple other species that bite but that's it. They are enough, still.

If everyone moved to quiet places they would no longer be beautiful & peaceful.

Hello Sanna, i heard and read about your country time to time. Such a beautiful and peaceful County that i yearn for. Your voice sounds similar to Jonna Jinton ( Sorry if I'm wrong)

pine oil - patchouli oil - lemon oil - essential oils are your friends...! even lemon juice/citronella will stop them - experiment.., defeat that which is a negative position by implementing the positive traits - intelligence, creativity then sell it compassionately.

It's absolutely divine . But , OMG, these mosquitoes, not so tiny !!! Would you say they are all day so ennoying or only when the evenings come ? I have recently read that strong emotions, desires, suffering, hopes, all of this lasts in time, long after the people who have experienced it, through DNA. Perhaps your deep desire for this land, this country, this house that you imagine and dream of, is something that has traveled, and is firmly rooted in you. I hope you find this house soon.

Yes, the mosquitos are annoying no matter the time of the day 😁 Wow, that sounds really interesting what you have read! I wonder where these emotions and desires have traveled from to be in me and what they want. That is so interesting!

The reality is that up there in Finland you don't have either enough stone, nor enough warm and dry weather to preserve buildings for centuries. Wood + wet = mold & rot. that's why you don't have ancient ”things” as the egyptians. But the green you have, the nowadays egyptians would long for. Way better there than in 45+ celsius degrees for 6 months/year.
