For a BMW enthusiast I know a lot about these cars including my own x5m. The fact that you can literally work on a 20 year old e46 or e39 and then work on a new engine like this with all the complexities is amazing. My point is, is that even though I know a lot there is no way in hell I can do 10% of the stuff you do. That’s why I watch your channel. Great stuff man it’s teaching me more and more every week
Nothing is hard to work on if you pay attention to detail , hope you seen my porsche channel nathans porsche workshop and check out the 911 engine out service we did on there also
I do watch your Porsche channel. I’m a long time subscriber and watcher. Never miss a video. I guess maybe that’s the wrong choice of words but when you see something that is just so much stuff going everywhere it just immediately is overwhelming for me. I’m much better than I used to be though
@@NathansBMWWorkshop where would you recommend getting oil cooler hoses and oil filter housing gasket and new belt and pulleys? I seen your other video not too long ago with a comment from you regarding prices and you mentioned fcp has mark up as well as ecs
New tech fresh outta STEP working at a dealer. Every single one of your videos old and new have been tremendous and I appreciate you. Dying to see you pull all the vacuum & coolant lines off that thing.
@@NathansBMWWorkshop most people can’t get that motor out that one is not easy to do I want to see where that oil is coming from I might have to pull mine out
Excellent video series. While this vehicle probably doesn't represent a great value for money given the extent of work you are having to do, it is so educational on many levels. THANK YOU. BTW, what do you use to clean up the floor in your beautiful garage? So much fluid/oils.
Its for sure not really worth it for me but it was more of a favor to one of the viewers , to clean spills on the rubber mat we use sawdust then simple green , anything on the grey epoxy just wipes right off
I know they offer the N63 long block reman from BMW for $3500~ due to the class action oil consumption suit. Is it not the same for the S63? I picked up a 2014 750li for $5k because I knew worst case the engine is available. It was stamped dealer buyback. Looked at the engine plate and it has a 2018 date on it and the reman code on it. edit: Well, 4400 now - like everything else. Part # 11002296774 for the N63 Edit 2: No such thing for the S63. $17k for the S63 long block. lol
W o W !! was That thing shoe-horned into that M' F'r.. holy hell.. No thank you mam would I want that rig.. I like them.. and yeah they are cool.. I ALMOST bought a semi-decent one, but So glad i didnt.

This is the best video, so far I watched with engine removal from X6.
Perfect example of BMW being BMW.
Super smart job
Now this is my kind of videos, seems like old times Nate
Good go Nathan you got it
We just have so much other stuff going on finding time to work on it was a issue

Do you have a video removing an engine off an 2005 bmw x5? i need a step by stop instructions to place a new engine inside
Just grabbed one of these for 4500, luckily it runs but 4000 in body parts, I like a challenge 😉

That looks like a nightmare.
Like an HR Giger painting.
It was a little tricky
@@NathansBMWWorkshop A little tricky? I've watched videos of organ transplants that looked easier. :)
This proves the adage: BMW=Bust My Wallet
Hi Nathans,
Can you have a video on how to replace the X6M turbo? I appreciated it.
Thank you.
Our engine disassembly video tuesday will cover that
You look like Arnold Schwarzenegger
20k?! Where are you finding these deals? I just bought a 14 X6m with a knock I have to fix and it booked 38k! I bought it for 13
That million dollar smile
Practicing for my only fans account im going to start 😂
I'm still in shock thinking about that huge engine, hoses, electronics and every little detail that needs to be placed back 😭
Its a big job, just to make it more complex we took the engine out of the e46 at the same time, videos coming soon lol

What camera and microphone are you using
We made a video about out camera equipment a week or so ago
What's hilarious about Nathan's KIA comment is they are more reliable and easier to work on than any BMW.

Must be a 1/4 mile worth of hose in the front! Already depressed.
1/2 mile it seems
What I'm learning here is never buy one of those. I'm loving my 2000 323i manual.
Probably a good lesson lol
I hate the phrase, but, at some point, a car is “mechanically totaled”. Great work pulling the engine out.
This one for sure is
I’m an old hand…
I can do that…

I think the N63 is an interesting engine to work on…
It is but this one in the video is a S63... yeah yeah I know but there different to
