No one seems to get a point about child poverty....parents need real incentives to earn more & that is why Reform's idea of income tax starting at £20,000 is so relevant to lifting kids out of poverty...

There will ALWAYS be child poverty as long as we keep paying people who cant afford children, to have children.
While single motherhood is celebrated instead of stigmatized, there will be children in poverty.
Ive personally known a number of girls and women whos career plan was to have kids & live on benefits in a "free" council house.
They space the children out to maximise the time they can leech off the taxpayer.
Child poverty is a choice bad parents make. I wanted 2-3 kids, but realistically i can only afford 1, so 1 is what ive had. If i couldnt provide properly for 1 i would have had zero.

Child Poverty??? Do we have this because of the spending choices of the parents knowing that the Govt, especially a Labour one, will ride to the rescue with handouts. Parents need to prioritize their kids not their tech!!!

Obviously you do not know that there are families that are homeless. Not through any fault of their own doing. Circumstances can change at the drop of a hat. Most unpaid carers suddenly find themselves homeless after caring for a relative. There are working individuals who suddenly have serious illnesses, have to finish work and lose their homes because they cannot pay their mortgages.
People lose their jobs, their home and can no longer afford to live.
If we can put immigrants in 5* Hotels with free board and lodge, bicycles, mobile phones, GP appointments and dentists, then, I know exactly where my tax should be spent and that is to our homeless veterans, single people, elderly, disabled and anyone struggling to feed their children.
Not everyone chooses the situation they suddenly find themselves in and we are all one step away from the same fate no matter how hard we work or look after ourselves.

I am 60 years old and have been made redundant several times in my lifetime including before 25 years old, and I can assure you that it was the most demoralising and stressful experience of my life.

Labour party's plan to tackle child poverty at schools only proves that Keir Starmer actually was a rich child at school. As far as I remember there was written on the internet that his father was actually the owner of the factory manufacturing tools. When you are a poor child you don't like to be sponsored by the rich ones. You feel more poor in such situations.
