Man I love your channel. The speargun videos with commentary are awesome. Please keep pointing out Hawaiian fish and their Hawaiian names for us westerners!
I have Ct-9 as well. Love the tips…but I don’t love the tips. They bend outward very easily when they hit rocks. I e straightened and filed em down multiple times to keep ‘em working rt amd not blasting bigger holes in fish. Once you tag a rock they bend…next fish you shoot it rips the meat. Any advice other than the obvious…. “don’t shoot the rocks stupid?” Your videos are great because they’re more real world for us normal people. I’m not diving 100’ for an Uku. 😂😂
I'm just curious including the price of all of your gear. What would be your ROI (Return on Investment) Do you think you have caught more fish, than how many fish you could buy with the money you spent on Dive Gear?
It all depends on the time you choose to spend in the activity. For some it’s 100% about the food, so a comparison like yours makes monetary sense. For others it the experience. Doing and learning something new keeps the spirit alive. On the end of the spectrum is the experience and how it enriches your life and mental state. Spearfishing is incredibly satisfying and challenging similar to a workout but with a mental almost yoga side mixed in. On top of that you get to drop into a world that few experience. No 2 dives are ever the same. Sharks, eels, hearing whales, hunting, stalking, breath ups, talking to yourself, relaxing like never before, the beautiful water, the sense of accomplishment, the bitchen equipment and the blend of man surviving in the environment…with carbon fiber and Yamamoto rubber mixed in😂. For those on this end….there is no price comparison. Also….you know exactly where your fish came from, and respect it even more for its life and how hard it was to attain. That can never be understood with a store bought fish. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck!
Mahalo. I only spend a couple hundred $'s on my gear some of which I have used for years. Thus the ROI is amazing. One decent sized fish in the market is over $10.

Mahalo for the support.
“The fish I didn’t want swim right to the area I want, and the other fish just swam away…” Sorry to laugh Braddah, but that just struck me funny 😆
Mahalo. Like life things when you go one one things go the other.
Right. Like the old Hawai’i saying goes, “When things don’t go right… go left!” 😂
Water so nice there, love that color.
Mahalo. We love the ocean is so close to us.
@Living Aloha Miss the Big Island for diving!
@@atdi72 Need to come back.

Mahalo. After every dive I touch up the tips of my spears with my grinder. Even when I was younger I couldn't make 100'
Hi , I’m going to big island Hawaii next but I don’t know where to go for spearfishing . Any recommendations? Thank you
Mahalo for the comment. Where are you going? How deep do you dive?
Nice. How do you prepare the nenue?
Mahalo. Love them steamed.

Mahalo. Yes it is.
You said this is a speargun zone, are there areas that are 3 prong only?
Mahalo for watching and commenting. Yes in Milolii there are areas that are restricted to 3 prong only.
