They are focused on giving best performance during long periods of constant breaking (usually on track), as they are made out of materials that resist the heat from friction much better. Standard brake discs tend to decrease their efficiency during constant hard breaking, because they are not prepared to develop the same performance when being too hot.

In the UK, you can pick on up used for about £100,000. If your looking at a 2017 model (my fav) then you can pick one up for about £85,000. I’m definitely looking at getting one in the next 5-10 years, the price would probably drop even more by then, this is my dream car.

Carbon ceramics don’t affect stopping distance, they just handle brake fade better at the track. Steel is better for road use actually
