tori's character is meant to be boring. it's part of her character development. she's supposed to be this really boring girl placed in a circle of creative and talented people, the point is for her to indulge in her talents and become less of a bland person. however it seems that the nickelodeon writers didn't exactly succeed in developing her character...

Aishat Durojaiye Jade and Beck completes each other characters. Jade made Becks character more interesting and Beck showed us a side of Jade that no one else could show. If they hadn’t been a couple, Beck would of been another Tori. Just cuter
Kenzie Wilson-Perry nah, not rlly. beck was a pretty dry character regardless. and jade was just as interesting and funny as a character when she and beck broke up. plus, they’re relationship was pretty toxic and unhealthy. beck didn’t really have much going for him or something interesting abt him besides he was a hot ladies man 🤷🏽♀️
The thing that I liked about beck was that yeah he was the generic hot guy that you get from most kids/teens shows but his character was very down to earth and genuine. He wasn’t like the popular jock stereotype. He was cool and like someone that you could actually be friends with without pushing it too far
I noticed too how when the show was in it's first season Cat just had a "dingy" personality but as the show went on she developed the mentality of a child. But she wasn't like that when the show first started.

I think something everyone forgets to mention is that Cat was supposed to be seen as the mentally unstable/crazy one when Robbie was literally in a verbal, emotional, and sometimes physical abusive friendship with a puppet that HE controlled. Like he literally insulted himself and hit himself and blamed it on Rex who can’t act without Robbie controlling him. Robbie is responsible for almost killing Trina.
Not to mention how Robbie noticeably begins to act out without Rex. Especially when he made his Robberazi web show, which showed how much of an irresponsible child he could be.

what I noticed re-watching this show recently, with the amount of sexual references/predatory "jokes" from the adults/older characters or extras. Robbie: I like to see Rex as Robbie’S Tyler Durdan for those who have seen fight club. He’s a manifestation of Robbies insecurities and a product of Robbies ideals and fantasies. The fact that he talks in an urban manner for instance is probably just Cos that’s what Robbie sees as cool, he’s not cool enough to act that way so Rex does it for him. All the creepy stuff Rex says is actually stuff that comes from Robbies brain which is weird to think about considering how different they are. We see snippets of Robbies starving ego early in the show when he has that Robarazzi show and he’s start power tripping. Furthermore the fact that Rex is always insulting Robbie I guess is a form of self deprecating humour but I see it as Robbie being self aware. I think a part of him knows his attachment to a puppet is absurd to say the least and his self deprivation is him acknowledging that. It Also May be him testing the waters of how far he can go using Rex to convey certain stuff like the more crude things he says, often Robbie gets insulted by Rex soon after.
yes! robbie probably had mental health issues and used rex to express what he actually wanted to say/do/act like. he felt suppressed as himself so he created a version of himself to carry around that expresses his shadow self, but not only the dark parts, it seems like he just acted like the person he wanted to be through rex.

I am a Leon Thomas Stan through and through. And I know how bunch of people have already said this but he helped write a lot of the music as well as he performed in almost every song he at least played an instrument in just about every song. He’s so iconic and I feel like people fail to realize how much talent he brought to the show. He was not appreciated enough.

I believe the reason for why they made Tori’s personality not as eccentric as the others was so you, the viewer, can identify with her while watching the show because we’re basically following her story because she’s the main character. I think it was good that they started her off like that because we do get to see her character development as the show progresses because she starts off as not fitting in but then she is able to vibe with them like the other’s. I noticed there is a BIG difference between season 1 Tori and seasons 2 and 3 Tori. Yes, she’s not the best character in the show, but she’s the protagonist so the audience has to identify with her. It’s up to you to decide if you like that or not but it didn’t really bother me that much because the show was awesome nonetheless.

The reason why Victoria got her own show was because after Zoey 101, she was in a movie musical called Spectacular, which was Nick's most popular movie at that time. Dan realized she could sing alongside act so they created Victorious. And throughout the show it was noticeable that Beck likes Tori so Jade has a reason to dislike her, though her and Beck's relationship is toxic, always fighting, but they're only together cuz Beck likes a challenge. Jade did take it too far with the blood, she was okay with Tori playing Beck's love interest in a play in the first season but wasn't okay with the steamboat Suzy role? Also I never realized how many sexual innuendos were in the show when I was a kid, mostly feet "jokes" that weren't funny and were so random. There were also wtf moments like when Sinjin kicked Tori on her side but the show thought it was funny. In one episode Cat's brother had a bag of fake feet in the trunk of his car which was disgusting, makes no sense. A bag of fake hands would've made more sense as those are more common in pranks. There was also a moment in the last episode where a girl randomly asked Andre if he wants to smell her feet, and he couldn't say no cuz of Sikowitz' bet. That scene was disturbing. Also disturbing is them having an ice cream flavor called funky nut blast, just ew. I can't believe Victoria is working with Dan again, and Liz, Matt, and Ari posted a pic with him
Rainy Daze Vic is a low alto but she doesn't exactly have a great vocal range. She usually uses the same pitch in her songs in my opinion. Liz is a high alto and she's able to control her tone well, she was on broadway it's obvious she's classically trained. And the same goes for Ari, and she's obviously a soprano her range is off the charts

I didn’t realize how much things changed in the past 10 years until I went back and rewatched Victorious. Some of the episodes I cringed at. The foot fetish and the sexual references was so disturbing. Also I noticed how all of the black women were portrayed as angry scary manly mean black girls. That really pissed me off and I didn’t noticed that when I was a teen but now that I’m older it’s so obvious. Hell even Andre’s ex girlfriend was like that. Only the black men in the show were portrayed in a good way but Andre didn’t get enough shine. He is very talented and underrated. The point of the show was that a normal average girl got into Hollywood Arts with a bunch of crazy talented kids. 💯💯💯 I had a problem with the fact that EVERYTHING was about Tori. Tori was mediocre compared to everyone else, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have talent. She just didn’t have AS MUCH talent as the rest of them. I just hated how much people were FAWNING over her like she was special. Her performances were annoying; she didn’t dance and she just jumped on tables while doing okay singing. Her character wasn’t relatable, and we as an audience were just forced to put up with her. She was super entitled, and played the victim a lot of the time. She had no personality and wasn’t protagonist material.

I think something everyone forgets to mention is that Cat was supposed to be seen as the mentally unstable/crazy one when Robbie was literally in a verbal, emotional, and sometimes physical abusive friendship with a puppet that HE controlled. Like he literally insulted himself and hit himself and blamed it on Rex who can’t act without Robbie controlling him. Robbie is responsible for almost killing Trina.

Robbie: I like to see Rex as Robbie’S Tyler Durdan for those who have seen fight club. He’s a manifestation of Robbies insecurities and a product of Robbies ideals and fantasies. The fact that he talks in an urban manner for instance is probably just Cos that’s what Robbie sees as cool, he’s not cool enough to act that way so Rex does it for him. All the creepy stuff Rex says is actually stuff that comes from Robbies brain which is weird to think about considering how different they are. We see snippets of Robbies starving ego early in the show when he has that Robarazzi show and he’s start power tripping. Furthermore the fact that Rex is always insulting Robbie I guess is a form of self deprecating humour but I see it as Robbie being self aware. I think a part of him knows his attachment to a puppet is absurd to say the least and his self deprivation is him acknowledging that. It Also May be him testing the waters of how far he can go using Rex to convey certain stuff like the more crude things he says, often Robbie gets insulted by Rex soon after.
yes! robbie probably had mental health issues and used rex to express what he actually wanted to say/do/act like. he felt suppressed as himself so he created a version of himself to carry around that expresses his shadow self, but not only the dark parts, it seems like he just acted like the person he wanted to be through rex.

They tried to make Vic a popstar when her voice isn't suited for the genre sksksksk she'd do better if she stick with Theater Music (she'd do very well in Broadway honestly), Ballads, R&B and maybe even Pop Punk imo

Tori had to be boring to vibe with the other characters, if she was too weird she wouldn't be able to relate to Jade, if she was too mean then she couldn't get along with Cat or Andrea much as she does. It would be too much if she was a saturated character.

I believe the reason for why they made Tori’s personality not as eccentric as the others was so you, the viewer, can identify with her while watching the show because we’re basically following her story because she’s the main character. I think it was good that they started her off like that because we do get to see her character development as the show progresses because she starts off as not fitting in but then she is able to vibe with them like the other’s. I noticed there is a BIG difference between season 1 Tori and seasons 2 and 3 Tori. Yes, she’s not the best character in the show, but she’s the protagonist so the audience has to identify with her. It’s up to you to decide if you like that or not but it didn’t really bother me that much because the show was awesome nonetheless.

jade really did deserve better. i see people saying she was a bad gf, but it was made clear that she had a lot of insecurities. she already suffered dysfunction with her father, a relationship she longed to have be a positive one, so having another male figure who she valued feel so easy to lose probably caused a lot of inner turmoil. no, it doesn’t make the bad things she did any better, but when understanding why jade was a bad gf, you realise there was understandable reason. beck on the other hand basically ignore jade’s sentiments and kept letting girls be all over him. sure, he is his free person, but wanting jade but never trying to fix what ailed her the most was what made his bad bf status hard fo defend.

Sinjin was so weird but he's one of my favorite characters. He's always doing something creepy like using chewed food the decorate his locker or eating birdseed which I thought was hilarious. Andre will always be my top favorite though.

The reason why Victoria got her own show was because after Zoey 101, she was in a movie musical called Spectacular, which was Nick's most popular movie at that time. Dan realized she could sing alongside act so they created Victorious. And throughout the show it was noticeable that Beck likes Tori so Jade has a reason to dislike her, though her and Beck's relationship is toxic, always fighting, but they're only together cuz Beck likes a challenge. Jade did take it too far with the blood, she was okay with Tori playing Beck's love interest in a play in the first season but wasn't okay with the steamboat Suzy role? Also I never realized how many sexual innuendos were in the show when I was a kid, mostly feet "jokes" that weren't funny and were so random. There were also wtf moments like when Sinjin kicked Tori on her side but the show thought it was funny. In one episode Cat's brother had a bag of fake feet in the trunk of his car which was disgusting, makes no sense. A bag of fake hands would've made more sense as those are more common in pranks. There was also a moment in the last episode where a girl randomly asked Andre if he wants to smell her feet, and he couldn't say no cuz of Sikowitz' bet. That scene was disturbing. Also disturbing is them having an ice cream flavor called funky nut blast, just ew. I can't believe Victoria is working with Dan again, and Liz, Matt, and Ari posted a pic with him

Victoria Justice has a good singing voice it's just not as good as Ariana's or Elizabeth's but I can still appreciate a good voice.
It's not bad, but it's totally outshined by Ari's and Liz's voices.
Rainy Daze Vic is a low alto but she doesn't exactly have a great vocal range. She usually uses the same pitch in her songs in my opinion. Liz is a high alto and she's able to control her tone well, she was on broadway it's obvious she's classically trained. And the same goes for Ari, and she's obviously a soprano her range is off the charts

Stranger things #1 fan Leon is successful as well as a song writer and producer, he’s won a Grammy or two I believe. He wrote some songs for Ari actually but I can’t remember which ones

I didn’t realize how much things changed in the past 10 years until I went back and rewatched Victorious. Some of the episodes I cringed at. The foot fetish and the sexual references was so disturbing. Also I noticed how all of the black women were portrayed as angry scary manly mean black girls. That really pissed me off and I didn’t noticed that when I was a teen but now that I’m older it’s so obvious. Hell even Andre’s ex girlfriend was like that. Only the black men in the show were portrayed in a good way but Andre didn’t get enough shine. He is very talented and underrated. Literally everyone in the show sung better than Tori but that’s doesn’t mean Tori deserves all the hate that she has been getting lately on social media. She can sing too. The point of the show was that a normal average girl got into Hollywood Arts with a bunch of crazy talented kids. Of course everyone else were more talented than Tori even she mentioned that in the first episode. Her character was meant for you to relate to and to see from her point of view. Also I agree what you said about Trina. She is very funny and entertaining as well.
💯💯💯 I had a problem with the fact that EVERYTHING was about Tori. Tori was mediocre compared to everyone else, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have talent. She just didn’t have AS MUCH talent as the rest of them. I just hated how much people were FAWNING over her like she was special. Her performances were annoying; she didn’t dance and she just jumped on tables while doing okay singing. Her character wasn’t relatable, and we as an audience were just forced to put up with her. She was super entitled, and played the victim a lot of the time. She had no personality and wasn’t protagonist material.

Thing I hated the most about this show was how rude they were to people who weren't traditionally attractive. Cat was so rude so many times to Robbie because he wasn't traditionally attractive. Sinjin was my favorite character and he was so sweet and akward.And because he wasn't traditionally attractive everyone was so rude to him and treated him as if they were better. They just used the non traditional looking actors to do things they wanted.
Also Tori is yelling half the time in the show. It's literally so annoying

For all y'all saying that Tori was "supposed to be boring and normal, so the criticism against her isn't warranted" lemme just point out the *queen Carly Shay* from iCarly. Out of every other wacky character, she was the most normal. But the difference between her and Tori was that she still had a personality. You can have a "boring" character and still write them in an interesting way. Victorious just failed to do that.
