@@SamVanFleet You complained when you sat on them because they're so spiky. And then when that horse bolted you were surprised it kept going? Maybe bc it was scared of the spurs. No hate, i ride with dressage spurs often just think that the sharp ones are pretty extreme???
Ruby Jones if you know how to use spurs, they aren’t extreme at all... I actually prefer the rowels because there’s a few more variations of cues you can have. I find you can help teach a horse to lift their back a little more with the aid of a rowel sometimes. Also, even if she was sitting on an English spur... don’t you would still feel it? I know I would

First time watching your videos and already, I'm a big fan. 4:03 "I've tried this on him before, and he always stops"..... That's because you trained him right, lol. A good trainer knows how to teach a horse to take their riders body cues as their instructions. Typically, when you lean forward in the saddle it means slow down, sit straight up/slightly back means go faster. You obviously have done an excellent jobs training your horses and that very situation proves it. As a trainer of 22 years, I can say you ladies have done a beautiful job with your horses. Well done!!!
