Finally played it and yeah it is good. Not spirit island levels of complexity (I would argue not every co-op game should be spirit island levels of thinkiness) but enough “meat on the bones” to be a good challenge.
I would agree definitely not Spirit Island level but I think that’s good because allows people that might never pick up Spirit Island to might pick up this and have a good time. Glad you got a chance to play!!
