Next time you head up north try fishing Plum Island at the mouth of the merrimack river. In NH New Castle Island 2nd bridge you will see the boats to your left and the old navy prison in front of you. You can jig up pollock and mackerel for live bait there. And in Maine fish badgers island bridge incoming tide at night and Day fishing in Kittery Maine Fort Foster the rocks looking out to the ocean is good with jigs. If you got a kayak with you fish behind New Castle island you can put in on Peirce Island, Portsmouth, NH.If you up there at the start of June fish below the dam in South Berwick Maine on route 4 get some Alewife jigs for live bait there for stripers.

Ive used the fish finder rig 2x. The 2x Ive used it it broke. I use 30 to 40lb monofilament using Alberto knot tie to 65 braid. I tie my knots well wet them well and still break set up because sadly theres so much crap in the river i fish. They need to take peoples fishing license away for 1 year. 2nd offence loose license 2 years and a $200.00 fine. 3rd offence you lose your license indefinite. This would stop people from littering.
