This explains what ive accidentally done. So i had a tiny terrace and just stuffed it full of plants and it wqs jungle, but they did amazing. Ive since bought a house with some land, and tried traditional garden with recommended spacing. And its been terrible harvests. So im over hauling my garden next year, moving it somewhere else, overhauling the soil there, and then doing a dense planted garden like i used to have.

Awesome, thanks for sharing this. I've been getting into syntropics in the last year, and there is so much wisdom in it. I love the philosophy of it too.

It is just so fascinating, especially seeing how it can be adapted in the UK

Joshua this is fascinating! I wonder, I have you written a book about this? I'd like to study this way of farming, Ie: position of plants in relation to each other, how many rows, when to let a plant go to seed etc, what trees to grow, what about tree roots? don't they get too big in a few years? I'd love to go more in depth with this. Thank you!

Good video, although, syntropics is not a "competition system". Plants don't compete, they collaborate - a very different way of understanding how nature works, which is vital to fully understanding syntropics as a whole on a deeper, instinctual level.

@shaeshaebibi You're a funny child. Pronouncing so sensoriously on something you clearly know nothing about. 😂

I have some clients that are 60+ years old and farming, and they get it too. It's up to the [open] mind & character, not the age.

Efficiency isn't a synonym for simple ;) Stacking functions is incredibly efficient, while inherently complex. Simplifying a natural system almost always means leaving out important functions.

Can this be combined with animal grazing?

      Yep.
There are inter rows and some manage these with ruminants or chickens.
Iv also seen the tree rows themselves managed with Guinea pigs.
