I have been to LA and loved it. I am from Toronto, a city that has ALL the problems of LA but is more expensive, has no beach, ocean, mountains, nice weather and interesting things to see and do. Toronto makes LA look like paradise, believe me. I spend up to 4 hours in my car every day, had to move way outside of the city and still spend 4000 a month on rent (a one bedroom apartment here is 2500.00). Electric costs are the HIGHEST in the world here and don't even start with car insurance. Our public transit is non-existent, 3 lines for a city with 5 million people. We build both out and up, no green space left any more and soon we won't see the sun because of the thousands of condos they constantly build. Average house cost - 1.1 million. That's for a simple 3 bedroom 1 bath with no yard or garage. Yup, when you live in Toronto, every other city in the world looks good.

I would never pay that much for that many roommates. True that is a nice house, but you still have the same issues other people with roommates have. Luckily you have your own bath, so that helps. But sharing the kitchen is the biggest one. It's..., who didn't wash the dishes, who ate my food. So when I bought my house, I split it into a faux duplex so I would never have to see my roommate.

Throw a blanket over the couch, white, grey, black, or even brown would go. (black is maybe too heavy) I don't know the temperatures there. See in my apartment (go to my youtube profile and on my website) and see how I put the couch pillows into the blue covers to match my curtains. You don't have curtains but you can match them with the other furniture. Maybe grey (like the carpet on the floor) would be the best. Just don't hit it with a completely different color. Something like that only Italian artists can be brave enough to do it and not make a mess by that. In my apartment, when they arrived they mixed nightstand lights from different bedrooms which never crossed my mind to do but now it looks even better. So I left it that way.

These prices for only renting a room in a house is just insane 😱But it is a beautiful home 😍
Were I live, we will be shocked when we need to pay 800 euro's (1072 dollars) rent for a 2 bedroom appartment 🙈

When I have a housemate, I've found that the best way to do it is the "pass the hunny" technique - ie, basically you hire each other to clean the house every week for $100. If someone doesn't want to? No problem! All they have to do is to pay the other person (ie, me) to do it in their place.
If both are willing to clean, then you just pass a $100 bill back and forth every week (hence the name). But if they don't want to? Then I get paid $100 to do an hour's worth of work. (Which is how much it would cost to pay a maid to do it, as around here at least they always work in pairs, and require a minimum of an hour's work just to make it worth their while.)

I don't understand being a RUclipsr where you can literally live anywhere in the US and have a super nice house and live alone for way less than renting a bedroom in LA and sharing a house with 3 other people. 2500 for a bedroom with 3 other room mates is absolutely insane. Buy your own place in another state, save on income taxes and build your own equity instead of paying someone else's mortgage!

It's actually not that simple. By living in mega cities such as LA, NYC; even smaller cities - Boston, Austin, SF, Chicago you have access to a large talent pool to network, trends, diversity of people, food, culture, fashion, art, music, concepts than living alone in boonies. You have to see the bigger picture to understand

    • @cmykimberly

Yeah i agree, guess it just depends on what you want out of life. If i could film from a bedroom/house i would be doing it from my own in a more affordable area. There's defo places that aren't NYC or LA but also aren't middle of nowhere.

The house I grew up in had ovens like that and we had a full size refrigerator that hung on the wall with four doors that opened like kitchen cabinet doors, one door was for the freezer. It hung right above a little dining bar table with chairs so you could just reach up a open the frig without even getting up out of your chair.

Love the layout its very roomy i am lucky at the stage in my life that i own out right mortgage payed off a 3 bedroom house with back and front gardens, to own a 3 bedroom house in L.A would probably cost a fortune if i had the chance i would try and get a plot of land and build my own dream home even if the land wasn't that big a plot, you do have a lovely place to live in.

    • @Gamerdude535
      @Gamerdude535 3 года назад

Nah it’s really not. Shit-tier power hungry leftist government, stupid expensive cost of living. Pretty high crime rate. Homeless problem due to how expensive it is to live there. People randomly shitting on the sidewalks and such in public.
Nah screw that lol. Give me smaller town living anyday.
Whatever nice country side town that has suitable cable and/or fiber optic internet for online gaming and Isn’t so expensive to live in.
And closer to nature for the outdoorsman activities I’ve been more interested in as of late.

@5:06 that is seriously so random to have a sink there! I guess it would come in really handy right now especially as you could actually wash your hands as you're coming in as opposed to just using hand sanitizer.
edit: I don't know if you addressed this and I missed it, but were you friends with your roommates prior to living together or did you end up just meeting them once you started renting? I'd be concerned about getting horrible roommates. I suppose though that your roommates seem to really take care of the space and what's in it so in that regard it seems like you ended up with a good group whether you knew them before or not.
