He's read all the biographies and newspaper articles saying that he was hypnotized. So of course he's gonna fall into alignment with whatever works best to get out of that dreadful place. Uecker was facing away from RFK when Sirhan reached around him to place the gun at RFK’s head. Cesar had a different caliber weapon , and he did not fire a shot that day.

It was Hubert Humphrey and LBJ who created and passed all the landmark civil rights legislation from '64 to '66. And the killing of RFK only made Humphrey's nomination all the more inevitable. So even RFKj's "motive" for the murder falls apart.
