Explain this ‘wire tuck’? It looks super clean with out that big wire trunk running along the firewall/ cowl. Where did you put the com at? And where did those wires go? Explain further please!
It looks super clean, I spent a lot of time cleaning up my factory wire harness, I reloomed and taped everything real nice. Zip tired and really just cleaned up the stock wiring. I’m pretty picky and meticulous about how I wire aftermarket stuff so anything added had been integrated cleanly and nicely into the factory OE wirring. But that wire tuck is sweet I’ve never seen that before. You should explain some in that I might wanna try that.
There’s a lot of room inside the wiper cowl, so i mounted the pcm inside it and routed the big wire look through a hole in the firewall on the driver side. I also drilled a hole near the back of the engine and stuffed those big plugs and other wires up inside. I’ll make a video explaining better!
Really appreciate it man! I’m really picky when it comes to wiring too. I reloomed the harness and made it look as clean as I could.
Sweet truck bro. I have 2 3rd gens in that color. Well my 04 is the same, my 05 is a tad lighter color. Have been thinking about starting a channel too. Always figured nobody gives a shit about my trucks, but it seems people are hungry for this stuff. Any plans to P pump or CR swap? Such a clean truck tho! Still seemed rowdy for a VP and a S400. I’m still trying to break the camera shyness but we’ll get there lol. I won’t be doing a p pump but i will be CR swapping one day, but it’s going to stay a VP for a while. So, what makes this truck sound the way it does? I'm looking to get back into a 2nd gen soon, but I don't care for how they sound with just an exhaust and tune. This truck sounds amazing compared to stock, so what one of the mods exactly make it sound like it does?
Thanks man! It pretty much comes down to what turbo and exhaust setup you have. An s400 and 5 inch gives it that street tractor sound that Cummins is famous for. However, an s400 on a vp44 truck isn’t ideal for drivability.

With these binging a 4wd, seems like it sits lower, almost like a 2wd, did you do any modifications to avoid rubbing with the 22x12s
Yeah it sits low for being 4wd. I did not want to cut into my fender or bumper, so it does rub before i get to full lock. I just don’t put myself in situations where I have to turn that sharp

Do you have a parts list for the suspension?
Yeah I do! To summarize:
Rear: 2 leafs, 1 inch block and cal tracs.
Front: 1/2 ton coils, 1 inch leveling kit (the bushing) and shock tower deletes.
Cateye duramax shocks on all 4 corners. I'm considering adding another leaf in the rear due to it being slightly squatted... I'm hoping the front suspension will settle more overtime and even it out.
is that a custom sub box or what sub box are you running in the 2500, but really nice truck

What u need to 48re swap it ?
Starting from the front - you need a dipstick, the 48re motor plate with shorter starter bolts, the appropriate flex plate with bolts for you hp goal, the torque converter with bolts, the transmission (you need a 29 spline output shaft to work with the manual T-case), the transmission to crossmember bracket with bolts, trim the T-case input, check driveshaft length, and an appropriate sized trans cooler with lines. You also need to decide between a FMVB or Auto VB and get the corresponding shifter/electronics.

@@edwinj8275i didn’t measure before and after but my calibrated eye balls suggest 2-3 inches from stock.
