Thank you so much for this video. I got this beautiful Maschine inherited from my grandma and it stood there for decades. I was super surprised that someone from the us did a tutorial - although it is a German product and I am located in Germany. Wishing you guys over there all the best for November - I still canˋt stay away to follow this event closely…
My Mom bought me Pfaff 130 many years ago. When I was still at NAS Whidbey Island AOM/SAR Paraloft. With this virus my wife is making masks. I used your video, for mostly the 3 & 4 steps. I got it now! Thank you!
That's awesome! I'm glad I posted this video. I had a viewer that had requested it some time ago. I figured that there might be chance that some of the younger generations might be dusting off old machines still in their families to sew masks!
If you Wind up your bobbin thread you have to unscrew the big silver nut in the Center of the handwheel to lock it free from the stitching Operation. That way you can Wind it up faster and its also better for the mechanics not to run "dry".
I enjoyed your video !!! I have my grandmother's and have a question I am hoping you can help me answer. I recently moved it and took it out of the cabinet. Now that I have put it back, I don't have something attached correctly and it won't stay in the two hinges in the back when I lay it down into the cabinet. Is there any way you could show how it folds down into the cabinet and what the machine rests on while it's down? Thank you so much !!!
There are set screws to secure the sewing machine to the hinges. They need to be tightened in order for the sewing machine to stay attached to the hinges. Then, lift the front wooden piece up and out. Fold the sewing machine down into the cabinet. And, re-place the front hinged wooded piece back and fold the two top cabinet lids onto the top of the sewing machine.
Thank you for the video - just what I needed. i can't locate my manual . I have one suggestion: if you could adjust the camera angle at times we could see the subject better and not so much of the back of your hand.
Noted! also, have had some requests for the manual for this machine. I might upload this at some point...not sure how to make a video of it, but I'll give it a go :)
No offense intended but it’s best to read the manual before giving a public demo on how to do something. There are proper names for each part. Release the clutch or balance wheel (silver wheel inside the handwheel) to wind the bobbin. Also, the manual does not mention this but when winding a bobbin while using one of the vertical spools on top of the machine, take the thread to the left first over to (#2 for threading the machine) wrap around the small disc before going down to the bobbin discs 2. This will allow the bobbin to wind up easier than going straight down to the bobbin discs from the vertical spools on top. The manual method is correct, though, when using an optional horizontal spool attached to the vertical spool, then, go directly down to the bobbin discs (2).
Manual didn't name the parts---they were only numbered. I do have the manual. If I can figure out how to do it, I will add a picture of the threading diagram.

hello very nice lady thanks for the requested video I think I also asked you to film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal being used please kindly film it ok? Please kindly reply back ok?thank you very much
You are welcome. This machine actually has a knee control level that is controlled by the user's right knee. I'll be sewing some masks later and will film the knee lever.
I know. I know. One of these days I will likely remake this video as I know it can be better. I still don't have a good camera mounting system and am doing the videos in my spare time.

It was a viewer requested video...viewer asked several times. Probably not the greatest how-to video ever made. Thanks for watching anyway

thanks for the tip, i'll try that
This is very important to save the mechanism!
Well done.
Hello, greetings from Germany - it‘s pronounced the second way, got a Pfaff 130-115 yesterday, and it can handle up to 3 needles at the same time

I have a Pfaff 130 that my mother bought new in 1951. I could probably thread it blindfolded.
Yes, I can film that. Give me a bit...I am in the middle of some gardening, but I actually need to work on this machine

There's a little bump on bobbin threader you need to hook up to the bobbin to hold it on better I discovered
Thanks for the tip!
@@mebeingcheap7644 Do you know anyone who wants to buy a Pfaff 130?
I have just inherited a Pfaff 130 but it looks different and the instructions don’t match
I read somewhere they made a couple different models
Can you explain how to do the modeling process with this machine
I'm not sure what the modeling process is. Can you explain further?
