When I was in jr high I helped make maple syrup. We had around 1000 taps. The evaporator was a King double pan.Dad rigged up a dumping station across the creek from the sugarhouse and an old water piston pump pushed sap water through a suspended pipeline to the holding tanks. Lots of work but lots of fun for me. Our sugarhouse didn't have a couch unfortunately 😊. AL B.

Holy! That sounds like quite the operation! Most we ever had tapped was 200 trees 😂. But yes the couch just gives it that homey touch 😂

@@4Dan21 most years produced from 300 to 500 some odd gallons of syrup. Here in Ohio most producers use reverse osmosis systems and pipline the sap to the holding tanks by vacuum. AL B.

Love Ontario. Every year we paddle northwest Ontario. I would live there but a bit to remote for the Mrs. i do have a LaPierre, Waterloo evaporator.

@@realairplane261 yes you have to keep the ladies happy that’s for sure! Ya those evaporators sure get things done in a hurry! I have a few friends that sell it so that’s the way they go cuz it’s faster and much faster to clean it after 😊
