Robbie lost control when he felts Miguel left him and showed no Mercy back to Miguel remember folks Miguel cheated along with Hawk to beat Robbie at Karate Finals and he dislocated his shoulder so the effects is still there he is not yet healed. Larusso will coach Robbie to have Balance that's what he is trying to improve in his students
Playing this song at the end of season two was perfect. It went so well with every part of that scene; from Johnny tossing his phone, throwing the bottle at his car, the pain and agony in his face, all of it. PERFECTION!!!
I'm thinking about this one a lot, because it in somehow justifies the "no mery" one, but we also have the "is that really how you want to live your life?" Sadly i guess (even if i chose the other way all of the time) it doesnt matter how you do it IF "the ends justify the means",because history is writen by winners and not my moral winners. "Congratulations of a life in a wheelchair, i guess?" is what i've got 90% of the times i chose to show mercy as well... and most of the people i was rude with.. i never saw them again. Got to admit when i saw the ending I was just in shock no words Miguel was my favorite character he was the one good guy in cobra kai. He cared for everyone he lost his way for a short time but he returned to who he truly was and that happened.
Yes, despite fighting with no mercy at the tournament, this time he remembered his Sensei's words about honor and mercy and he stopped... while Robby who was taught all along that karate is for defense only, he didn't stop.
@@tvtributes That's what's ironic and great story telling and why you see both daniel and johnny so distraught in elevator. They both caused this in some way. Johnny had the right view and still did to have mercy, but sometimes because don;t fight fair and it can get a person to suffer. But miguel showing no mercy would have meant he's no better than and is just as bad as robbie. Two wrongs don't make a right they make one worse doing the same path. But daniel part of it too, because he taught robbie karate. He meant well and tried to teach robbie the right way but he in the end did not follow or let his emotion go against the teaching. Even though miguel was part of cobra kai, he showed more a miyagi aspect at the end and robbie showed more kreeses cobra kai side. That would be real interesting if kreese ends up getting robbie. It shows robbie running away after the fight scene, who knows where he ran to and where he shows up next season. I love the layers and though process, the writers tie in so much to where there's more than you think to it if you pay attention to what happens and the irony and why things happened. Yet despite drama, they still had humor. And what's cool is that they had some of the random funny moments you didn't expect or don't usually seem humor immersed in dramatic scenes. I was like 'oh shit, things are going down with sam and tori in the hallway ready to fight. And then the little asian kid fighting and stuff was funny, especially when security picked them up like babies and they are still flailing their arms trying to fight each other. And then stringray lmao, such a weirdo, loser hanging with teenagers as an adult, looking like he's 30 man. But becomes security to be part of the school and his cobra kai crew and then fights off the miyagi do kids and the previous episode 9 where he shows up at frickin highschool party and with his date and she's confused and like "why are we here, you said we were going a party". But the weirdo goes to a highschool party and on top of that didn't tell the woman he took that important detail. And him tryiing to leave the house at the party because the cops came, but he couldn't open the doors because clown taped both his hands to the alcohol bottles he had lol

Daniel and Johny will have to take responsibility for their actions and they felt that on the elevator because hadn't it been for them... miguel and robby probably wouldn't have ended up the way they did.
was glad they went with bringing miguel back to the light. i honestly did think johnny was teaching his pupils a correct way on not letting themselves be a victim anymore and to seize opprotunity. miguel shooting his shot at sam in season 1 is proof of it. He beat kyler down and asked her out even if it was just as friends. But he did let them down in not addreasing the difference between mercy and honor in season 1. Both Johnny and Daniel gained something from Cobra Kai in the 80's but were not properly guided. The way of the Cobra is about attacking and emotion but without focus. It can be like fire, where it is an effective tool and can keep you warm or it can rage uncontrollably and burn down the dojo.
Season 1 was great, but season 2 really did the best, the masterminds behind the story writing did what a real great story always have, and that is DRAMA, it is going to be a real cruel summer waiting for season three, I waited for season two and really was worth the wait.
@@basetmastoor3231 I think that there has been no official announcement yet about season 3 probably because they are waiting to see how many people will watch it on RUclips Red and whether it will be concidered a succesful one or not. People are still watching it and then keep coming back asking for season 3. So we will have to wait and see when they will announce it. Best case scenario, there will be a season 3 but we won't see any new episodes before spring/summer 2020

It was well crafted and it leaves more to be expected in next season :)

As it was mentioned in a previous episode when Miguel defeated Hawk at the wood fight, they may be fighting each other for a day but they are concider each other brothers for life, so he's going to do anything in order to take revenge for Miguel, so he's all in for Cobra kai's rules in S3 "strike first, strike hard, no mercy"

The writers seems smart and I think he rebound, but it might be a few episodes in third season before he truly comes back. But I don't think he's dying or will be paralyzed or such. It would make things look a little stupid to take that serious because it's a karate series with teens and many parts can be dramatic, but the charm of it is the humor that plays of it's connection to original and how they are relate to each other. It would be foolish too because the big mistake other show series make is they get rid of or write off their main characters or do something drastic and then the show is not the same after. It loses the humor or important aspect the key character brings. Miguel is too important to not be able to fight again, especially since johnny and larusso are the main guys and miguel is not johnny's son, but johnny's has been a father like mentor more so to miguel than robbie. Miguel is too important. Robbie is important, but he doesn't bring the flare like the other chracrters do. He important, but boring in relation to the others. Like hawk has to continue to be featured, I get a kick out of him and you know he's one that''s important and gets attention too plus has a story behind him to, his facade he has and carries or atler ego as hawk. I feel there will be more story that unfolds with hawk next season especially with cobra kai having been taken by kreese and hawk with kreeses cobra kai.
Robby is the one I felt sorry for the most. He was doing good all this way and just 1 mistake..from his view Miguel kissed his drunk girlfriend and kicked his ass, he just wanted to continue fighting, not seriously hurt Miguel.

@@takijahrichardson8752 Yes, martial arts are supposed to be a tool to be always in control yet can be lethal when used based on emotion. I think they wanted to show to people that things can go awfully wrong, especially when you are teaching kids and if you are not ready for it, it's like giving the keys of a fast car to a drunk kid. Things can get messy and then who is to put the blame on? The drunk kid? Or the one who handed him the keys?
I respect Miguel. He fought robby and had him, to be honest he could’ve broken his arm but he shown mercy which that’s not cobra kai way but he didn’t like what was going on.

Sam kissed Miguel and didn't tell Robby. Robby on the same night protected Sam and took her to Johnnys place which resulted in him and Daniel falling out.. which wasn't Robbys fault During this time Robbys mum was in rehab Then Robby finds out Sam kissed Miguel after they both agreed no more secerts He'd lost his mum, Daniel and Sam I think he just snapped and lost control in the end!
Beside all that you guys also forgot that its a part of the script, I watched the both seasons, And i hate the fact that kreese took control of cobra kai again specially after what happened to miguel, His friends thought that its jhonnys fault for teaching him how to show mercy but will Miguel understand that jhonny was absolutely right?
@@saifek3860 There are more coming on season 3 nevertheless I think that he undestood that he was right and that it wasn't about karate only but about life as well that's why he stopped. At the meantime Robby despite being taught miyagido karate, meaning "karate is for defence only" he was the one who attached and a few moments before he swept his leg, the same way his father did, years ago at the tournament, probably because of his anger and his troubled past. So in season 3 we well see if there will be redemption for all of them. Cobra Kai will be on Reese's guidance, while Johny and Daniel can't do karate any more. (Johny lost his Dojo and Daniel's wife has forbiden karate for him.) At the same time Hawk and the rest keep training asking for revenge for Miguel.

There's more character depth in these characters than all of Hollywood combined. I love reading what the fans say about all the characters. Some blame Robbie, some blame Miguel, some blame Sam. One thing is known, none of the characters are perfect. Theyre kids. They make mistakes. The ending of season 2 was tragic, but solidified this show as probably one of the best shows across all platforms.

Reondth, the movie from the past 2010 year was only to hype for Jaden Smith. He is a good actor just like his father Will Smith. But that was a bad idea to remake the old movies with Pat Morita. Pat is an great actor but i thought he was a real teacher of karate before i checked his biography in Wikipedia. Pat made a great scenes and made believe a viewer that he is also a teacher in real life. Jackie Chan is good too, but Jaden... Come on!!

Man that school brawl was epic and amongst the best ive ever seen. I cant believe how much im loving this series. Ive been a KK fan since it came out in the 80s.
Samantha caused every rivalry in the series if you think about it. She crashed and run making turn up the rivalry between Daniel and Johnny. She came to a party holding hands with Robby like WTF and Miguel was her dirty secret, so when he saw her with a another guy it got him mad. And at last she treated Tory like trash since the first moment, calling her a wallet thief and only wanting Miguel because she couldn’t have him. This is just ONE of the reason why she is the worst and everyone hates her.
Hawk's redemption ark was Season 3 as well as Miguel's recovery and realisation that he did the right thing. I believe Robby's redemption arc will be at the end of Season 4, I don't see Tory's redemption arc anytime soon, maybe Season 5, and well Kreese HAS ALOT TO ANSWER FOR.......

If Robbie can get a redemption arc so could Tory. Tory and Hawk are relatively similar and now that Hawk has turned good, I can see the same for her. Good to see Daniel and Johnny working together.

Wow, season 1 was deep but incredibly fun to watch. Holy hell season 2 was dark. I really hope Miguel comes back for season 3. Robby is now going to completely lose his father over this as well. I wonder if he ends up joining Cobra Kai, finding a father figure in Kreese. Kreese had a hard-on for getting him in Cobra Kia from the start.
Watching the school fight with my brother, I was adding small comments like "oh they shouldnt fight on the stairs someones gonna fall over the railing" and look who was right.
Robby didn't want to lose face or be embarrassed with everyone watching, and recording the fight on their phones. Miguel had his full attention on Robby that was it. Miguel won, in the end he learned from Jonny and not Kreese

This show is life, Hawk and Miguel are my two favorite characters, ever since I binge watched the first 2 seasons waiting for the 3rd season has been driving me crazy. I wish there were more episodes in a season or the episodes could be longer but if it’s at any sacrifice of the quality then I’m ok with 30 min 10 episode seasons. For the ppl asking what martial arts is in cobra kai, Daniel and miyagi do train in northern shaolin kung fu that's where balance comes from The yin and yang. Northern shaolin kung fu is truly for defense only. using your opponents momentum against them after they try and strike .johnnys cobra kai is based on tang soo do strike hard strike first. I hope this helps.
I know it doesn't matter because the purpose was plot, drama, and a huge showdown. But this is one of those things which could have been solved if Miguel had gotten to Tory first to explain that it was just as much his fault and that Sam shouldn't be blamed or hurt for what was also his mistake. Sure he loses a girlfriend and maybe Tory still flips out on both of them, but it could have saved the escalation. Its the peace keeper in me that wants to see conflict end as safely as it can. And its the use of words to prevent violence that both teachers failed to teach their students, Johnny being most responsible for what happened.
God this was such a good season, the first was great at starting off everyone's story, but season two was so amazing!!! The ending was a non-stop fight scene and felt as if it would never end, the choreography that went into it was flawless, I swear if in season three Johnny doesn't say something along the lines of "What happened to mercy?" I'm going to die. Our boy better make it out alive, I'm so excited for the next season!!! (Also since everybody else is saying it,,, ahem,,, THIS WILL BE SUCH A CRUEL SUMMER WAITING FOR SEASON THREE)

To all of the fans of Robbie and Miguel, personally neither of them won that day in the fight because they both showed the other dojos traits for the tournament/school fights. If you think about it the only person who won that day was Sam. Think about it, the build-up for this fight and the relationship of Miguel and Robbie was been set-up since the tournament or even earlier. Sam was the one who manipulated both Robbie and Miguel because of their relationship with each other, Miguel was angry that Sam broke up with him and tried to manipulate him to stop doing Cobra Kai, then in return a drunken Sam kissed Miguel in front of Tory, which he was dating at the time, causing further conflict between the two dojos. Robbie was also angry because he found out that Miguel and Sam kissed during the party, but didn't know the exact reason why. He thought Miguel was taking advantage of a drunken Sam and decided to kiss her to insult Robbie more. So there was an underlining reason why both Miguel and Robbie both hated each more because of misunderstandings that Sam caused. Sam was the real winner of the Myagi-Do/Cobra Kai school fight because of the reasons I've stated above and Sam should be in hotter water than before if both Miguel and Robbie find out about the lies Sam has caused between the feuding dojos
I always thought Miguel was better than Robby at offence and aggression. Which helped him nearer to the end. But I always though Robby was better and dodging and tricking Miguel. Just my opinion, don’t hate on it.

Yet despite drama, they still had humor. And what's cool is that they had some of the random funny moments you didn't expect or don't usually seem humor immersed in dramatic scenes. I was like 'oh shit, things are going down with sam and tori in the hallway ready to fight. And then the little asian kid fighting and stuff was funny, especially when security picked them up like babies and they are still flailing their arms trying to fight each other. And then stringray lmao, such a weirdo, loser hanging with teenagers as an adult, looking like he's 30 man. But becomes security to be part of the school and his cobra kai crew and then fights off the miyagi do kids and the previous episode 9 where he shows up at frickin highschool party and with his date and she's confused and like "why are we here, you said we were going a party".
But the weirdo goes to a highschool party and on top of that didn't tell the woman he took that important detail. And him tryiing to leave the house at the party because the cops came, but he couldn't open the doors because clown taped both his hands to the alcohol bottles he had lol

Daniel and Johny will have to take responsibility for their actions and they felt that on the elevator because hadn't it been for them... miguel and robby probably wouldn't have ended up the way they did.
was glad they went with bringing miguel back to the light. i honestly did think johnny was teaching his pupils a correct way on not letting themselves be a victim anymore and to seize opprotunity. miguel shooting his shot at sam in season 1 is proof of it. He beat kyler down and asked her out even if it was just as friends. But he did let them down in not addreasing the difference between mercy and honor in season 1. Both Johnny and Daniel gained something from Cobra Kai in the 80's but were not properly guided. The way of the Cobra is about attacking and emotion but without focus. It can be like fire, where it is an effective tool and can keep you warm or it can rage uncontrollably and burn down the dojo.
Season 1 was great, but season 2 really did the best, the masterminds behind the story writing did what a real great story always have, and that is DRAMA, it is going to be a real cruel summer waiting for season three, I waited for season two and really was worth the wait.
That final episode especially was brutal and heartibreaking.. but we can't do anything else but wait for season 3. I bet there will be a season 3!

People are still watching it and then keep coming back asking for season 3. So we will have to wait and see when they will announce it. Best case scenario, there will be a season 3 but we won't see any new episodes before spring/summer 2020

Miguel wanted not to be a better fighter but a better man as well as Johny told him while Robby let anger and jelousy take over and went on fighting in a similar way that Miguel had hit him in the tournament in S1. I think that Miguel will return. We just have to wait for s3
The writers seems smart and I think he rebound, but it might be a few episodes in third season before he truly comes back. But I don't think he's dying or will be paralyzed or such. It would make things look a little stupid to take that serious because it's a karate series with teens and many parts can be dramatic, but the charm of it is the humor that plays of it's connection to original and how they are relate to each other. It would be foolish too because the big mistake other show series make is they get rid of or write off their main characters or do something drastic and then the show is not the same after.
It loses the humor or important aspect the key character brings. Miguel is too important to not be able to fight again, especially since johnny and larusso are the main guys and miguel is not johnny's son, but johnny's has been a father like mentor more so to miguel than robbie. Miguel is too important. Robbie is important, but he doesn't bring the flare like the other chracrters do. He important, but boring in relation to the others. Like hawk has to continue to be featured, I get a kick out of him and you know he's one that''s important and gets attention too plus has a story behind him to, his facade he has and carries or atler ego as hawk. I feel there will be more story that unfolds with hawk next season especially with cobra kai having been taken by kreese and hawk with kreeses cobra kai.

At the meantime Robby despite being taught miyagido karate, meaning "karate is for defence only" he was the one who attached and a few moments before he swept his leg, the same way his father did, years ago at the tournament, probably because of his anger and his troubled past. So in season 3 we well see if there will be redemption for all of them. Cobra Kai will be on Reese's guidance, while Johny and Daniel can't do karate any more. (Johny lost his Dojo and Daniel's wife has forbiden karate for him.) At the same time Hawk and the rest keep training asking for revenge for Miguel.

There's more character depth in these characters than all of Hollywood combined. I love reading what the fans say about all the characters. Some blame Robbie, some blame Miguel, some blame Sam. One thing is known, none of the characters are perfect. Theyre kids. They make mistakes. The ending of season 2 was tragic, but solidified this show as probably one of the best shows across all platforms.

This show is life, Hawk and Miguel are my two favorite characters, ever since I binge watched the first 2 seasons waiting for the 3rd season has been driving me crazy. Northern shaolin kung fu is truly for defense only. using your opponents momentum against them after they try and strike .johnnys cobra kai is based on tang soo do strike hard strike first. I know it doesn't matter because the purpose was plot, drama, and a huge showdown. But this is one of those things which could have been solved if Miguel had gotten to Tory first to explain that it was just as much his fault and that Sam shouldn't be blamed or hurt for what was also his mistake. Sure he loses a girlfriend and maybe Tory still flips out on both of them, but it could have saved the escalation. Its the peace keeper in me that wants to see conflict end as safely as it can. And its the use of words to prevent violence that both teachers failed to teach their students, Johnny being most responsible for what happened.

God this was such a good season, the first was great at starting off everyone's story, but season two was so amazing!!! Yes French, Italians, Spaniards, Rumanians, Portuguese are Latinos as a matter of fact USA wanted to include this groups in usa as part of the Latino ethnic group in USA ,another thing people of Latino America is call Latino because most of them are descendant of Spaniards, Portuguese, Italian, and French some. To all of the fans of Robbie and Miguel, personally neither of them won that day in the fight because they both showed the other dojos traits for the tournament/school fights. If you think about it the only person who won that day was Sam. Think about it, the build-up for this fight and the relationship of Miguel and Robbie was been set-up since the tournament or even earlier. Sam was the one who manipulated both Robbie and Miguel because of their relationship with each other, Miguel was angry that Sam broke up with him and tried to manipulate him to stop doing Cobra Kai, then in return a drunken Sam kissed Miguel in front of Tory, which he was dating at the time, causing further conflict between the two dojos. Robbie was also angry because he found out that Miguel and Sam kissed during the party, but didn't know the exact reason why. He thought Miguel was taking advantage of a drunken Sam and decided to kiss her to insult Robbie more. So there was an underlining reason why both Miguel and Robbie both hated each more because of misunderstandings that Sam caused. Sam was the real winner of the Myagi-Do/Cobra Kai school fight because of the reasons I've stated above and Sam should be in hotter water than before if both Miguel and Robbie find out about the lies Sam has caused between the feuding dojos
Miguel won he showed off what Johnny was teaching him strike first but somtimes show mercy

I honestly think the way they ended season 2 was incredible, even with Ali accepting Johnny's friend request at the end, like I was not expecting that at all. Damn this show is so good 😌
