I didn't know what to expect from this series, but depicting the Minecraft world as the psychotic, Berserk-esque hellscape that it is has been immensely appreciated.
This actually used to be a sort of bug in older editions of minecraft. Especially on the older console releases like Xbox360. I remember villagers used to huddle up in one house whenever it turned night, this was around the time 1.6-1.7 was released.
i’m guessing with this series, steve does enough bad things that ends up putting the world of minecraft in jeopardy and he has to eventually fix that mistake whether i’m right or dead wrong, i’m sure this series will continue to be good. loved this animation!! very awesome!!
The only thing this episode was missing was a scene of that giant, shredded iron golem mowing down hordes of zombies until he is eventually overwhelmed and destroyed.
the short scene where the kid villager uses a water bucket to clear the wheat instead of the traditional way of harvesting wheat was so sweet, I half expected the adult villager to get mad, but instead he looked proud of his kid.
I love how this series just goes to show how insane the player usually is, compared to most games where the player is forced into a role to solve everything.
All the great references aside, this animation tells a story of another side of this land and of a villager who would go through hell itself to bring his loved one back from infection. That tone always seems to hit me deeply... Every single time. Well played Cas.

This is one of the most incredible Minecraft animations I have ever seen. I love how for once the villager of the story gets seen as the warrior instead of the idiot, and the fight scene was just chef kiss. If there was a competition for people to enter in and share their Minecraft animations I bet without a doubt you would win! Absolute incredible work, can't wait to see what comes next because your videos in general just never fail to amaze me!
Really want to say how much of a fan I am of the idea of Steve being the villain in every mob's story so far. And I love seeing a good thing happen for the mob at the end after all the misfortunes. Because it's like bringing attention to how mobs always get unlucky in every minecraft world because of the player or hostile mobs, but instead of them just taking it they actually overcome it and it's so entertaining to see that unfold. And it makes me happy, cheer, laugh, or all of the above. Big fan of this series, and very excited to see more. Edit: Sidenote, I have developed a passionate hatred towards Steve now, and I hope the characters from these cartoons form a league of heroes to protect the world from Steve. Seriously, Batpig and Killager (that's what I'm calling him as his hero name) should team up.

People already pointed out lots of tiny details, but what I can't miss is the rays from the raising sun slowly crawling up to the boat during the fight. Villager didn't just "screw you, Im bored" that fight, he had to cut it short and so he did.

I was JUST thinking that! Yet, when I want to turn a zombie villager back to normal, the golem comes out of nowhere and ruins everything. I love the golems, but sometimes they're a blessing and a curse.
