I'm so happy these interviews exist because so many of the wrestlers he mentioned are dead now. Ultimate Warrior, Komala, Giant Gonzalez, Elizabeth. Even Paul Himself. metalgamer83 Years later, but undertaker did have a "game show" where they had contestants trying to escape the morgue or mansion. Was kinda lame, fun concept though 🤷
I've wondered since I was a kid if the managers were actually their managers in real life, or the managers were just another actor that went with their gimmick. Now I finally know that they were their actual managers.
I know everyone in the business shits on the Gonzales match, but it really wasn’t supposed to be a wrestling match. It was just a spectacle - monster vs monster. As a kid it was one of the things I most looked forward to on the whole show, purely just to see how it would play out
Both Paul Bearer and Undertaker said that they hated the Giant Gonzalez run they never said anything bad about him personally and I always wondered how They felt about him as a person but too me the match was about the story but I always felt bad for him
Make no mistake, Paul Bearer is as much of The Undertaker's legacy as the Undertaker is, and I mean that from both behind and in front of the camera. His character on screen was so terrifying and unique and aside from that, Mr. Bearer was apparently a fantastic manager to many wrestlers and not just Mark Calaway.
“I’m a natural heel” Brother, he ain’t lying. How the hell does he know "there wasn't a damn thing wrong with Hogan" after the match? Why is it hard to believe he was hurt? Hogan never even blamed Undertaker. SHEEESH.
Hogan literally did blame Taker for hurting his neck with that tombstone. Watch the clip back and you'll see Hogan's head wasn't even close to hitting the mat. Hogan's head was way up above the mat. He was just politicking his way into getting the title back from Taker days later by having people think Taker hurt him with the tombstone when Taker didn't.
