Definetly the most popular food in Argentina is "Milanesa" like you seen at first in the video. In order to cook it you need one of the following steaks: Flank Steak, Rump steak, cuadrado or silverside, all from the animal's hind quaters (Cow). Ask the butcher to not cut them too thin so the flavor of the beef comes out better. The slices of beef are trimmed to remove fat and tissue, then you season it. Take two different bowls. one with two eggs and another one with breadcrumbs. Dip it on the egg then in the breadcrumbs to get the crispy layer. You can fry it or bake it. It's best to use corn or sunflower oil and make sure the temperature is just right. Not too hot or cool and fry them in batches (in case of fry it which is the best option). This could be a nice video and there is not many outsiders that made it. Good luck
You are completely wrong. Asados are the most popular food in Argentina (thats what we are known for - foodwise). Almost every house has a parrilla thats being used almost every weekend.
The secret is to eat at bodegones, that are a style of restaurant that serves homely meals. It's like mixing culture and AWESOME food with pretty reasonable prices. You said you don't drink much, but I'll also recommend to try cervezas artesanales (beers), fernet (with coca cola) and wine. Also, never skip ice cream shops. O heladerías, mejor dicho. The best way to know where to eat is to ask around and get the locals to share spots, otherwise you might find just the tourist-trap kind of places. Don't be afraid to ask, most people are really kind and happy to offer you recommendarions since they love seeing people having a great time in our country. If you ever do come here to Argentina, I hope to see a video or vlog of your experience! Hope you have a great time too jsjsjs Damn, eat a lot of good food, the prices are low because we have many many economic struggles jsjs But that's always been the same, so having people come around and enjoy is always nice jeje
Mate, I'm from Argentina, the difference in price is because the difference in salary, here is about 500 USD to 1000 is depenst in the type of job, and is because we produce food, a lot of food, there are place where you can spend 400 / 1000 USD, but they are place for turist, and is more like a experience in place of the food.
Brother, if you ever come to Argentina, I recommend you contact a local and instead of eating food in restaurants, try the same dishes but homemade, they are probably 100% more appetizing and double the size.
if you are coming to Argentina, specifically Buenos Aires I recommend between the months of september to november, it's spring here, it's not that hot, not that humid and perfect for exploring c:
Mirá que amo los sanguchitos de miga, pero los argentinos tenemos un temita con creer que ciertas cosas que comemos/hacemos son 100% nuestras y no jajajaja Viví en inglaterra cuando tenia 15 y allá vendían pan de molde sin bordes (o sea basicamente pan de miga) y para ellos era lo mas normal del mundo. Asi que no se si los sanguchitos son lo primero que hay que hacerles probar a los extranjeros
Argentina has different regions and traditions, food, drinks, dances, art, etc. In the Capital City (Buenos Aires) you maybe able to get a little bit of each of these regions, but the ideal is to travel around the country, getting to know its food personally. The people are very hospitable and they like to welcome foreigners who want to meet the locals. You will take home nice memories.
First video from your channel and I really enjoyed it! One of my top argentinian foods is "pastel de carne", known in the outsides of the country as "shepherd's pie" as I think it's a french food but pretty popular in here
good video broo!! you should really come down to argentina, you'd honestly love it! I think one of the most important things they missed were empanadas! but definitely asado, milanesa napolitana and helado por kilo are some things I could live with peacefully as an argentinian lol. there are other foods that I personally consider better made at home though, like guiso de lentejas. hope to see you in this part of the world some day man!! I think it's a home for all people and anyone should feel welcome 😊😊
You gotta come to Argentina! Food in restaurants ig good, but home food is 1000% better! *Empanadas *Asado *Milanesa *Choripan *Guiso *Ñoquis *Medialunas *Mate *Tortilla santiagueña * torta fritas
It's really fun to see people from all around the world getting so hyped with our food!! Then I remember how good most of it tastes and get it 😋I guess the quality comes from the raw materials used by default, mainly crafted and created locally, providing a wither variety of prices! It also answers the question about the relativelly low prices compared with some other countries... that, and because of our low salaries
And believe me, brother, the places where this couple went to eat are really EXPENSIVE places for us Argentines. In ¨Casas de Comida de Barrio¨ (which are much more familiar places, and far from the very center of big cities like BsAs) you can eat even better for a third of those prices. What happens is typical: those places are aimed at tourism. Ordinary Argentines know that money is not going to be given away there. LOL! A hug, and if you come to Argentina, I recommend many places before Buenos Aires, and it's not that it's not attractive or a bad city, but 50km from there you have the city of La Plata, capital of the Province of Buenos Aires. Much calmer and clearer, tree-lined, and with a brutal historical and cultural circuit!!!
Food in Argentina is generally pretty cheap for foreigners, specially if you cook yourself, so don't worry about prices, unless you go to places made for foreigners which are obviously more expensive.
I'm from Argentina, my favorite foods are the Fugazzeta Rellena pizza, the Milanesa napolitana and the choripan. If you come you have to try it, you said that you are not a fan of pizza but I would recommend that you try "El Cuartito" Fugazzeta Rellena pizza.

999th like. Hope it gets to 3000. You should probably ask for help when it comes to subtitles, as for example, when the girl said "choripan", the word "sartén" appeared on the screen. While "sartén" means "frying pan" in spanish, she was mentioning the food name. Choripan is a combination of chorizo (the sausage-like food they were eating) and pan (which literally means bread, but it's written and pronounced the same in both languages). I'm not a professional translator, but I might be able to help (as well as any spanish speaker that wants to give a helping hand).
Soy argentina.
Franklyn, hello friend, I am from Argentina, from the province of Fanta Fe. If you go to Argentina I recommend you eat all the roasted empanadas fried cake etc... and my favorite food is Milanese with fried egg and puree
Bro, the food in Argentina is one of the richest in the world, and it is super cheap for foreigners to eat here, there are really delicious meals for only 10 dollars, it is very abundant and delicious, come to Argentina and you will not want never go, greetings
Hi Franklyn, it doesn't matter if you don't get 3k likes. Come to Argentina and don't take the tourist tour like the ones in the video. I see many videos of foreigners doing the same thing and I assure you that there are much cheaper places, with excellent service and abundant food. They were only in the tourist area and did a Google tour. La Boca is super expensive for local people, it's twice as expensive as other places For example: "LA PARRILA DEL TANO in Avellaneda" watch some of those videos, free food for US$ 20
Dont worry, for people outside of argentina, the food is pretty cheap. We are the ones who truly pay extra for the food, because our currency value is less compared to the dollar. To explain better, 1 usd = 1000 ARS.
