When playing this I felt like this version was always the version the designers had in mind. Like they released a watered down version to get us acquainted with the mechanics and then dropped their intended version. I love this game. Some of the card combinations are truly brutal. The satisfaction of beating those were so satisfying.
This new Crew is insanely good!! That's such a great point about playing again fresh with new groups, this has taken the monotony out of that completely!! Also, amazing 2-player trick-takers: Catchy! and Jekyll Vs. Hyde😁🙌
I've never been convinced enough to buy or try The Crew but after this awesome review and sax serenade, I think you've just convinced me to give this one a go 👌🏅
We enjoyed the first game, but are really looking forward to playing this new version! @TheGameBoyGeek - What are your thoughts on Skull King? We love SK so much!
Oh I’ve talked a ton about Skull King on my channel! Here is the latest one although there is even a newer version that just came out that I like the best. ruclips.net/video/YRDp2xfwdKQ/видео.html
@@TheGameBoyGeeks - Awesome, thank you for the link! We also play with the Legendary expansion MINUS the pirate powers (because it can really slow down the game). SK is just such an amazing game; even with as little as 2 players or as much as 6 players :)
I wonder why a company would put out a new version of the game that essentially makes the old one obsolete? I mean, it’s only been a year or so since the original Crew came out, so, aren’t they kind of just shooting themselves in the foot? Is there ever a case where someone might prefer the original Crew? Maybe it’s better for beginners?Even though it’s pasted on, I like the deep sea theme better than the space theme.
I don’t think they did that on purpose but I would imagine it won’t end up hurting them too bad because it’s still a hobby game so having that same market buy another one is probably a good idea. The original might still do well due to the Kennerspiele award.
Its easily better for beginners, and its just more focused on one idea. I enjoy having to win certain cards. I enjoy puzzling out the order. That idea is fun and its pretty rare in new crew.
I'm sure they were just trying to make it better the druid tile around. Plus since it's a campaign game, people would move on eventually anyway after they finished it.
@@Bugnone21 Unlike you, I know perfectly well what that word means. Just take the L like a man and admit that you had no idea what clickbait meant. Denying it makes you look childish.

Thsi one is a must have.
Do you prefer this to the new version of Skull King?
They are very different since one is coop and one isn’t. But Skull King Is still the King of trick taking games.
Just discovered these games. So will probably only have to buy the Deep Sea variant :)
Good choice!

It is unfair for ppl who bought the original crew.. when something is so much better came out...

Clickbait title?
It’s not click bait if it’s true and the focus of the video.
@@TheGameBoyGeeks Kaaaay
You need to inform yourself on what clickbait actually means, you clearly don't understand the meaning
@@PhilGerb93 ok thanks,
I suggest you do the same about "clown" :D
