He's gotten amazing life experiences and learned a lesson already that most anglers never do about which fish you should take and which ones to let go. Nobody is going to ever give him grief for taking a fish home to eat, and rightfully so.

loved the vid, your a good father, and your boy is learning from the best, well except lying about the beer eh, well done Shaw no true angler feels good about taking a quality fish, its good you feel that way, as dad said your doing the right thing by taking that fish , it would not had made it and been shark bait, so when you go next time and are able to release a healthy fish man will you feel good, the real skill for the future Shaw is how to water dads beer down without him knowing, now that's a challenge.

All people get happy when they see giant swordfish in front of them because it look so amazing...i have did that many times and enjoyed filleting swordfish i even record some videos about them on my channel.
No electric reels here. Just good old brute angler effort by a young fella and good skipper skills. Cant believe the northern hemisphere fisherman dont have a crack at them legit like this without electric reels. Re getting it on board ....always have Tirfor winch on board. :) Matt is such a good dad....His young fella is being taught right.
