    Just over 900 mods installed on Skyrim Special Edition 1.5.97
    Full effects Rudy ENB
    3440x1440 native resolution (no upscaling)
    ENB binaries .491 Patreon edition
    Ultra settings in Bethini
    DynDOLOD 3 run with high settings LOD grass, Seasons, and Ultra trees after running xLODGen for terrain and TexGen.
    Process Lasso handling ALL running processes priority, and affinity

    Asus 3090
    32 GB Ram
    SSD (s)
    People tend to look for a 'cure all' to stuttering or low frame rate.
    No such thing since mod lists and hardware vary greatly.
    What works for one person may not work for another.
    Truth is it's better to figure out where your bottle neck is and cure that.
    For my set up it wasn't graphics card related at all but limited by Skyrim's API (draw call limit), and game engine.
    Lowering shadow resolution or lowering ENB detail settings did NOTHING.
    PureDark's Patreon Upscaler did Nothing as well since it wasn't a GPU bottleneck.
    My CPU simply could not get information to the GPU fast enough to maintain a stable frame rate.
    What did work was two things in my case.
    1. Optimized ENB .491 Patreon edition
    2. process lasso.
    I set Priority for Skyrim at High, and lowered priority for nearly all other running processes.
    The big change however came from tweaking all running process' affinity.
    Skyrim being cores 0,2,4-19
    All other running processes being cores 6-19
    This allowed Skyrim to have 2 dedicated physical cores all to itself (0, and 2) as well as access to cores 4-19.
    Skyrim doesn't play well with hyperthreading and virtual cores and sees little to no performance gain from anything over 2 cores.
    Did I think a (more than) decade old game crammed with loads of 4K textures, Post process shaders, scripts, Skinned mesh physics, high poly models, and more could look this good or play this smooth on the Aging Bethesda Engine?
    A couple years ago I would have said, "No way"
    Now.....I say "Heck Ya!"
    Have fun modding but remember ANY system is only as fast as it's slowest component.
    Use tools like MSI Afterburner to figure out what that slow piece is and give it some breathing room to catch up with the rest of your system.
    You'll be amazed at the results.

    Looks fantastic! May your road lead you to warm sands. 😻

    Looks awesome. The bird glider was laughably modded but everything else was neat. Strays pretty far from Skyrim's original look but actually treads more towards ESO's style with Fallout 4's graphics. The gameplay also makes me hope we see more advanced combat and new weapons in TES6. I want to see more unique magic, the return of hand-to-hand, dodging and actual combos in the combat department.

    what mods are you ussing for texture trees and grass ?

    • @nicoroshi
      @nicoroshi  Год назад

      Base of traverse the Ulvenvald with Nature of the wild lands, CG4 woodland, Myrkvior, alpine forests of whiterun valley, Snowy pines from SFO and Seasonal aspen trees in the Rift. Bent Pines.
      Using all Ultra tree LOD models I could find for what's installed.
      Grass is Origins of forest, Folkvangr with summer tundra retexture and some grasses from Verdant.
      There is probably a few other things I have added/ tweaked in there as well but that's the bulk of it.

    question what mod is that double saber you are using?

    • @nicoroshi
      @nicoroshi  Год назад

      It's called Nicos twinblades using exm842 twinblade MCO animations. I included 3 different twinblades in that release based on single mods I released for Thranduils sword, Orcrist, and the one i am using Raven swords.

    for me is oposite of using core 0 core 2 core 4 and core 19 i get less fps using these on proces laso i force to use all core and i get more fps and performance i have same cpu but oc 5.1ghz all core

    • @nicoroshi
      @nicoroshi  Год назад

      Maybe I wasn't clear. Mine is using all cores except 1, and 3 (0,2,4->19) but for me I get lower FPS with all cores enabled.
      This is a prime example of the differences in load order effecting where the bottleneck is on any given system even with similar or same hardware (my CPU is also OC to 5.1 on all cores).
      So Although I can tell you what works for me it may not work for you due to other differences in system and mod selection.
      I know it may be tedious but one needs to figure out where the bottleneck is on their specific system and load order to find settings that work for the best possible experience.
      Sadly I don't believe there is a 'one size fits all solution

      @@jacktheripper4458 Yes. CPU is stable. Cooler is AIO water block with 240 rad, It does get much hotter at 5.1 GHZ but stays below 80 C with tjunct max of 99 C so not throttling.
