How much solver or gold solder should you use for jewelry making?
This is a question that comes up in every class that I have taught. How much is too much?
The true answer is this less is better. If you make your solder seam without any gaps it should only take a very small amount of solder to join the two pieces. This goes for silver or gold.

The more solder you uses the more solder there will be to clean up. Also if you have solder running all over you jewelry it wont look very nice.
Work on making perfect solder seams and as little solder as you can.
