i was given a high quality scale model of this as a kid,,,,,and was old to keep it good....within the day it was cracked and rally woren after all thoses laps around the carpet and jumps on the floor fun fun.

In my opinion the Peugeot 405 was quite like the 205, they both had their engines where back seats would usually be but larger and longer rather than the little and short car. Like the 205 the 405 was equally successful in the desert rallies of 1989 and 1990 and of course we cannot forget the Pikes Peak where it set a new record.
Too bad group B ended before 405 t16 appears, it would be the best rally car ever and it proved so, in Pikes Peak and in the Dakar. My favourite car ever, i have a 405 td with the mi16 kit, and i love it!

WoW ... that was an incredible pikes peak car. It's amazing to see all the ol' skool equipment and design going into the vehicle.
This 405T16 for me, the 2nd best in the automotive story. First was the 205.
Both never had any other comparable automotive.

It is designed to Group S, that was canceled same time Group B ended. So they used it only in desert raids and pikes peak.

605 rear suspension developed off this T16, no wonder it handles like a cat.
