Large Paramecium: from a small stream at the Botanical Garden in Asheville, NC 02/05/2024

I collected this water specimen in Asheville, North Carolina from a very small and shallow stream. I let the water sit in a sunny window for a few days and found this large paramecium. Magnification is around 100X. I used the Swift 380T Trinocular microscope, and an attached Sony a7rIII camera for the filming. Dark Field viewing technique was used to provide a dark background and some color to the specimens.
