  • We're on the move. We have just two weeks to get from Guadeloupe to Grenada. Our first stop is Bequia, a little island just south of St. Vincent. Bequia is part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
    Unfortunately, our GoPro crapped out and we lost all of our amazing snorkeling footage. But never fear, we have some great sailing footage and absolutely amazing sunset footage to share.

    Lovely place, great vid. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I really like how you respect and promote the local businesses as you travel. You are good ambassadors for the USA (and to be frank it sometimes needs some good folk like you dispelling some of the perceptions of Americans abroad 😁 ). Anyway, I really appreciate you sharing your lovely vessel and places you go. Fair winds.

      Thanks Tony! You gotta respect the people, places, and customs otherwise it just doesn’t feel right. And experiencing these new places is what makes this adventure so amazing.

      Thanks so much! You’re not the REO Speedwagon base player are you? Or is that the other Bruce Hall? 😊 But yes the Jason Ricci song was awesome plus Eddie 9v is awesome too. Check out Eddie 9v album called Little Black Flies. It’s amazing Blues/Rock.

    Great video y'all! Enjoy following your journey. Thank you also for explaining the various check-in processes. We are getting ready to start cruising and this info is always helpful in preparation for new ports!
    Thats a hell of a lock as well! Can you share which one you got and if it's been holding up to the salt weather well?

      You’re very welcome! If you ever have specific questions we’d be happy to help by the way. The lock is a MastetLock we got from Home Depot but I forgot which one. It’s been holding up well. Good luck with your cruising plans!

    Someone seriously pried the lock?! Why??? Oh hey, love your blue top. Cool location.

      We docked the dinghy on a dock in Guadeloupe that tour boats use too. We heard rumor we should tie up on the very inside part since the tour boats use the main part but there were no signs or anything or any tour boars around on a late afternoon. We tied up about a foot onto the main part. Well apparently some one didn’t like where we were so they pried our pretty beefy Master Lock open and moved the dinghy a few feet further down the dock. At least they didn’t set the dinghy adrift or steal it!

    Loved the anchorage sunset videos! We just found your channel and subscribed a couple of days ago. You are probably in the US right now and I hope all of your family is doing well. If you have time when you get back, could you just give me a couple of sentences about comparing the L45 to your L48? My wife and I are starting to look and can't decide between the two. Travel safe!

      @SailingWindTherapy  11 месяцев назад +1

      You can’t go wrong with either boat. We loved our L48 before hurricane Irma sunk her but…we love the 45 more. Certainly advantages and disadvantages to each. The 48 we think sailed a little better. It’s of course bigger which is always good and the bigger helm station is better than the 45 ( but the 45 is much easier to single hand sail due to the smaller size and much better positioning of the winches). We hated the Heads in the 48 because there was no storage. The heads in the 45 are immensely better. We love the better salon setup on the 45 with the galley facing forward and much better storage too. That’s just a few points off the top of my head 😊. If you guys really want to get into all specifics than we’d be happy to chat on the phone when your ready. Just let us know.

      @@SailingWindTherapy Thank you so much for your feedback. We have a property that is going up for auction in October and we have to wait and see what the final number is before we can make any commitment. Hopefully that all goes well and then we would love to talk but we don't want to waste your time until we are sure. We hope that your trip went well and everyone is great!

      Best of luck with your property sale! Things with us are great as we are winding down our busy summer and are looking forward to getting back on the boat. We’re here if you need anything. Take care. 😊

    How was the bottom of your boat so clean when it was being hauled out??? Yes, I watched all the way to the end.

    • @SailingWindTherapy
      @SailingWindTherapy  Год назад +2

      That’s funny. We actually had a diver come out and clean our bottom before we got hauled. He gave me a good reason for it but I can’t remember why. 🤪 Plus our bottom paint job from Rhode Island was awesome.

    so just came across your channel. Have not seen any vids giving an overview of your transition, how much was the boat, when you say you had one a charter with moorings that was lost in the storm, what actually happened, how did you then transition to another boat with them, was that in charter too? Would love to know more about that experience.

      But if this and the Ask a Leopard video from the comment above do not answer all of the questions just let us know and we’ll get into more specifics. Thanks for watching!
