Seeing this, I finally understand his reputation. He didn't deserve it, in a way, and is humble enough to ask for forgiveness. God bless him.

Great interview! The host wasn’t gushing ‘fluff’. Charles’ honest humility was so touching . Very inspirational! I loved it when he became a Cowboy. An all time great one! Just a great man.👍😊❤️✌️

Man, Charles is spot on about asking for help. In addition to that, I'd add that asking the right people for help is just as important. Like I said in my other comment, my family didn't give a shit about helping me. I'm still neck deep in the struggle to get off the streets and get my life back on track, but I've been asking the right people for help with my issues.

At least he is accountable for his actions now. I was literally scared of him when I was a kid in the early 90s. When I acted up my dad would threaten to go get Charles haley to come down and straighten me out.

That’s funny you said that my dad would do the same thing. He would tell me how crazy Charles Haley was and I was also scared of him. He was the scary, mythical guy lol. My dad said that Charles Haley lived in the back country and used to chase rabbits out in the woods. But I don’t think that story was true about chasing rabbits lol but he did grow up poor. My dad was trying scare me.😂😂

Bill Walsh loved this man, George Seifert had a hard time with him and over looked his talent always trying to replace him,I hated the trade especially to the Cowboys.

I suffer from several different mental health issues, bipolar being one of them. I see a lot of similarities between myself and Charles' daily struggles, and it is a daily struggle. Man, my family is just as fucked up too. Having my family telling me as a little kid that I'm crazy, I belong in prison, or a mental hospital, and so on. And for me, the verbal abuse was just the tip of the iceberg. I've experienced all types of abuse from my family. Anyway, I wish I could meet Mr. Haley, because I'd shake his hand and thank him for giving me hope, and being a shining example of hope.
