Perfect!!! I lived the 4,5,6 yrs of sobriety with a dozen meetings a week and wanted to go on a shooting spree, I would never drink.... but homicide was certainly in the cards. I finally was given the truth by a good friend and sponsor.....Bob you are an asshole to yourself and those who love you, if you dont get stop you will go insane!!!! That is when I went to a Mens step meeting and found recovery. 33 yrs in recovery and I share that hell of my first 6 yrs of sobriety with whoever God puts in my path. All the sobriety in the world does not equal recovery. Today I'm content, even on my worst day I am content. "Life is to be enjoyed not endured" #getafterit
I'm Kim and I am a alcoholic 🤗 I've been COMPLETELY SOBER for fourteen months and four days. I haven't been to any meetings, DOES THAT MEAN I HAVEN'T RECOVERED ❓
@@blessedmslady7341 I stopped for a year and the voice in my head said "you're clear you have proved yourself now you can drink". Of course I got completely drunk. I just cannot drink like sensible folk. By the way Kim I'm 43 days in and a massive well done to you 👍👌
@@justinguy9793PS. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF CHOKING "THE VOICE IN MY HEAD" TO DEATH💥 STUBBORN Little sap, but it'll die‼️‼️ What I'm most grateful for is I DON'T HAVE ANY DESIRE TO DRINK, NONE WHATSOEVER🙏 🌻
Don L. You told my story. Thanks for helping my revamped energy for AA grow. I'm almost 4 years in and I'm hitting 2-4 meetings a day and I'm hearing my story in AA and Sober Cast every single day! Thank GOD (my unique to me GOD) for AA! P.S. meetings don't keep me sober, they contribute to my sobriety. Working the 12 steps with a sponsor, service in my homegroup, reliance in a Higher Power/AA as a whole and working with other alcoholics ON TOP of meetings keep me sober!
@@jenmichael8368 100%! Just what I'm into currently.....its literally only 2 to 4 hours out of a 24 hr day. Not a whole lot in my opinion :) its fun and necessary for me and my program currently :)
Love your stuff Don. How do I get older stuff. I think the one from Chubb Lake is it? was one of the best speaker tapes I've ever heard and I've heard a lot.
R u kidding me? This guy is a stunning speaker. In 35 years I have my favorites and I’ve just added this to my list. #GoGod🙏🏻👊🏻
