I've been using Luo Yi for about 12 matches and I can say that her 1st and 2nd skill range really needs to be buffed. It's really hard to reach enemies with the provided range and can escape before you cast another 1st skill on the marked enemy.
@@werewolfie1263 Her first skill's splash damage extends the range quite a lot. The trick is to hit a small minion or anything else in front of the target and you will hit it for sure :)
@@somecho this is definitely the right way to play her. Her 1st can reach enemy back line if you hit a tank or some other minion at the front. And this is super useful cos when you activate your 2nd you will stun both tank and their backline. so far I have 75 percent wr with her in about 30 plus games in rank and I can definitely say she will be next season's 'valir' as they're buffing the range of her 1st too. Better jump on the luoyi train before they nerf her
Now that her 1st skill's range got buffed, I can play her more aggressively now. A little trick to abuse her passive damage is to mark the enemy with the 1st skill, discard the next 1st skill bcos it's most likely in the same state as her second. Then, activate the second skill to trigger the passive, and finish off with the 1st skill which has now reverted back to the state you've marked the enemies with. This is especially useful when you're laning against an extremely squishy marksman/mage.
actually that was betos first match and he missed a lot of his shots. he revealed his ultimate too along with never pre-prepping his 1st and second so they would be different. i think it was more teamwork than just beto

You just go to custom first and remember where Lou yi's placed. Then leave custom and start classic. When you enter even though its not yet picking just click fast where lou yi placed then just thank me later haha

Some things I learned about Luo Yi is that as per the game's "tips" is that her ult when casted on a bush (on the arriving side) could not be seen by enemies. Another tip is from Hororo, you can use her first skill anywhere to change the yin or yang first to ready for a potential stun or drag. (Like how users her first Aurora to stack passive)

She's good if the player knows how to utilise her skill and with good teammates T_T been getting players using this hero in rank but don't know how to use it :(
People are not used to her just yet so when you are using her in ranked matches they will not follow you with your ult at all. You need premade teammates or communicate with the randoms with mic on. Otherwise you will feel a bit useless she needs a good team in order to be a worthy hero
I've been trying out other heroes rather than just using marksmen, I tried Guin first, and then went back because I didn't think I played as well. When I saw Luo Yi, I never thought I'd play her because I'm the worst at playing as a mage, and I thought she'd be difficult, but I was forced to play her brawl because I'm an even worse tank lmao. I tried her out in a classic match, first time I'd gotten a savage in months!

Yep aim it in the bush so the enemies will not see it BUT after you teleported they will see you in the bush for 1sec(if the enemy is close to the bush where you ult at) and you can use it for distraction making your enemies think you or your teamate will go there.

I recommend u keeping 1 & 2 skill different and when u see an enemy use first skill to mark him and then second skill to set exactly the location u want the enemy to get stunned

Secret tip for everyone trying luo yi, whenever you activate her passive (her yin and yang stun,) you'll immediately recover 1 stack of her first skill which then wouldn't have cd. Enjoy!!!

Just imagine you and your team all together , Luo Yi and Lolita comes and stuns everyone then Irithel (fed by fighter and nub mage) coming and getting a savage while enemy fighter and support were taking lord.

I recommend u keeping 1 & 2 skill different and when u see an enemy use first skill to mark him and then second skill to set exactly the location u want the enemy to get stunned

When my team and the enemy team has a Luo Yi, it kinda freaks me out whenever I see that Yin Yang animation because I don't know whose who and it might be the enemy team teleporting to our location .__.
Yes, that's what so great about her, her ultimate can distract her enemies and freaked them out, who's going to teleport there? 1 hero? 3 heroes? Or none just for distraction? Who knows...

This happened to me, I thought it was my ally, turns out its our enemy fck
If u look closely, the opponents S2 and ulti have a red outline but I think they should still make it a bit clearer

Secret tip for everyone trying luo yi, whenever you activate her passive (her yin and yang stun,) you'll immediately recover 1 stack of her first skill which then wouldn't have cd. Enjoy!!!
