2Snack's Eekum Bokum animation was the first Hololive thing I ever saw. Made me curious enough to check Korone out. Watched translated playthroughs of this and Doom 64/Doom 2016. I didn't completely fall into the Holo rabbit hole cause of the language barrier, but it kept 2Snacks on my radar, so when the Lightning McQueen animation came out, that was what pushed me down the hole 100%. Really cool to see Grant send a message to them! He's always been super cool.
This video is incredibly nostalgic and meaningful to me because that laugh at 0:57 is the exact moment I fell down the rabbit hole and became a Koronesuki. I have since been watching hololive every day and even got to see Koro-san perform at Holofes. I'm so grateful that this one moment lead me to Korone and Hololive.
Whoa it's been awhile since I've watched Vtubers getting a Cameo message, and MikKorone got a Cameo message from the Composer of Banjo and Kazooie wow amazing
I remember Marine roasting Korone in her chat for indeed forgetting the controls after a year of not playing, to which even the game itself joined by having Gruntilda roast her for idling around too much lol. I hope she will play Banjo-Tooie as well someday, her reaction towards hearing the EEKUM BOKUM used in an entire song there would be glorious.
Marine and Korone are probably the two oldest members in Hololive and they grew up playing the same types of games. I think they would have been great friends if they had known each other when they were kids. I'm glad they are able to be together now.
Oh damm. Grant Kirkhope retweeting a Japanese doggo VTuber playing Banjo Kazooie is what introduced me to Korone and Hololive, and I've been hooked since! Awesome to see him make an appearance~
toby fox did a song for Marine.... imagine Grant doing a song for Marine. honestly, Grant has such a great sense of humor that he'd be proud to make a song for a h0rny pirate 😂 i wonder if Marine got to play Conkers Bad Fur Day 🤔?
It could be possible even because of how open he seems for contributing music to things such as fan projects on RUclips. It funnily enough also seems more likely than Nintendo ever really approaching him again for anything. He wasn't even credited in the Mario movie for the DK rap. It's weird to me that an iconic composer like him seems to get most of his recognition only online despite being so open minded.
Just want to add that in Banjo Tooie, Mumbo Jumbo's magic pads have "Eekum Bokum" Inscribed on the side of it. Banjo and Kazooie's swap pads in that game also say "Guh huh" and "Breeeee" respectively. What I'm trying to say is that Eekum Bokum is canonically what the tokens said
Always remember the holy words of EEKUM BOKUM.
Kami Oshi moment
Certified EEKAM BOKUM moment
"But if you suck too much, I'll get mad, froth at the mouth, and pass out" I love Marine so much 😂

But is he in Kingdom Hearts?
I honestly think that animation is responsible for a considerable number of people's first leaps down the rabbit hole
@@Santrial It was certainly responsible for my fall down the rabbit hole!
Same story
Grant is always there for the fans, one of the great composers of that era, thanks Grant!
Marine: IT SHOULD'VE BEEN MEE!!!!!!!!!
Senchou punching air rn lol
The man who defined an entire era of platforming soundtracks. I love all my favorite people (and Doogs) interacting. We all just keep winning.
*Eekum Bokum* will always the legendary Banjo-Kazooie moment. Senchou would be jealous xD
1:17 That retweet by Rare is what got me into watching Hololive!

Micoronnn 😂
This is incredibly goated
Yeah especially for you I'd bet with that pfp, and given how long you've been in the rabbit hole.
EEKUM BOKUM

Fauna got a similar video from NorthernLion
@IceBloo really that was amazing
This is so wholesome, omg 💖 I remember when he was a guest on Game Grumps way back in 2013.
It's hard to believe GG have been around over a decade, isn't it?
Oh man I forgot entirely about those legendary Twitter interactions! Thanks for the amazing context as always!
What a legend he is

HELL YEAH GRANT
Korone winning!
Eekum Bokum.
Rare had some of the best composers. Grant Kirkhope, David Wise, Robin Beanland and Eveline Novakovic.
reminds me of Tony Hawk's message to Luna hime years ago😅
Wait, WHAT!?!
@@Dorian_Scott Yeah about 3-4 years ago Tony Hawk congratulated Luna on reaching a 500k sub milestone and said Cute is Justice!
"Mikorowan" makes me offended

As a big VGM fan and Korone fan, it's surreal to see all these legendary composers interact with Korone. Grant Kirkhope, Jun Senoue, Yuzo Koshiro.
Common EEKUM BOKUM w
My favorite duo of meeko rown
Eekum Bokum forever.
I love Grant he did such good work on Conker
“Ohh me nakers” if u know u know😂

Wait, which song? I knew Toby Fox had connections in Japan, but I wasn't expecting him to work with Cover at any point.
The original Conker wasn't released in Japan, so probably not 🤔
@@soapsatellite Dead Ma'am's Chest with Marine. Fallen Wing with Kanata.

Man, this is really awesome
Love Mika Roan
The name's Bokum. Eekum Bokum.
可愛い
Did the Japanese version of DK64 have the Donkey Kong Rap? For some reason I never considered the possibility of that lol

GOLDEN EYE!? He did the music for GOLDEN EYE!!!???
You didn't know?! He also Perfect Dark
oh this is so cool
I love how nobody told him how to pronounce Mikorone 😂
👍
holy shit, Grant?
Whoever commissioned him to do this probably should've clarified their name pronunciation
EEKUM BOKUM
