💜💜 Addendum: There is an Imtech release of the Heller kit from what I can tell, but I only saw this after I'd filmed and edited the video. It is what it is at this point! There are a few small errors in this and it didn't upload in full quality by release becaue RUclips processing seems to take an age these days. Never mind 💜💜
The Breguet 693 was often called the baby Beaufighter, I made the original Heller version back in the 1960's. I now have the Smer release which is identical to the Heller release except with Smer's own up dated instructions, it's just a pity that Smer haven't up dated the kit with an interior. I feel we make models for our own enjoyment and others might think we've made a questionable job of it, we've usually done the best to our skill level and enjoyment. The only thing I'll comment on is how do you do any modelling with those long nails. Anyway thanks for the video maybe it'll inspire me to get my Smer one out onto the work-bench. If you ever see the Potez 63 series model just buy it, I can promise you you'll not be disappointed, as I feel it's probably one of the best Heller kits and it comes with a full interior.
I like how you keep the fun rolling with the music, and experimenting with the video elements. Works really well with the history especially. 👍 Keep up the great work
I've really enjoyed the French Models month... Glad you modified the cat-astrophic undercarriage a-le-Archie ... 😀 I have purchased the Heller Bloch 210, 174 and Leo 451, following your Heller reviews. I like them, the colour callouts and decals are great, but agreed the instructions should be modernised. The fits are OK for older kits and the do look good when complete in the French Air Force Colours... Thanks for highlighting these old gems, I am enjoying making them... 😀
I have the LeO (one of my fav bombers ever) to do and the Bloch 210 is one I want to get when money allows! I love how nice these are - yeah they aren't the best but they're lovely little kits! 💜💜
Does not matter how many kits you do this happens to us all, thats modelling.. but we all keep coming back. 99% of mistakes are only seen by the modeller. Those french planes very unique 👍👍
FYI: Belgium WAS already building the Br693 in country (at SABCA) on behalf of the French, who's production capacity was maxed out at the time. they did order 24 Br694's, but the first prototype did not fly until June 1940, by that time, belgium had already fallen and the SABCA factory was destroyed. i have the Mistercraft rebox of this kit, and im planning on building/converting it into a Br694 in belgian markings.
Wow! You did go deep into the history and extra stuff on this one! Was good fun! With the maskol i've had the same issues - i find doing the intial edge in masking tape then filling in the rest with maskol will avoid that peeling and flaking paint - kit looks good in the end though, your skills are defo getting better with every video :)
This aircraft looks so weirdly proportioned with the bulgy frontal part and thin tail, yet that also makes it so interesting looking. I have the same kit and after seeing you struggle with it I am not sure if I'll build it anytime soon. I just finished Airfix' Vintage Classic P-61 and that one was a fight from start to finish as well, with barely useful instructions too, haha. Well, at least with these product lines Heller and Airfix tell us upfront what to expect, unlike some other brands *cough*Revell*cough* The box art of the Musee (and Vintage Classic) line is something else however and the main reason I bought these kits. It's just so gorgeous I wish one could get poster sized prints of them somewhere.
It's probably not as bad as I made it look! I did build it in a quick time and it was an easy weekend project. But it defo wasn't as enjoyable as say the newest 1/72 Hurricane from Airfix or even the Musee Heller MS406 in 1/72! 💜💜
Great video. I bought this kit in France last year because I, too, think it is bloody majestic in War Thunder. This tooling is a little tired and tricky to work with, but the things we do for a model of our favourite aircraft...
Thanks M another great video. Not really a well known aircraft but seems an OK build considering again a fairly old kit. I think you did very well putting everything together. It's always tricky when you have to deal painting around transparent windows. I think you did a very good job with the mask oil something I have used anyway. It got me thinking how to do this kit and I could only think of perhaps spraying all the parts on the primer. Then trying to just part spray the window frames or around with the camouflage before assembly of the transparent awkward windows. However, I think you did very well and you should keep the kit of course even though you protested to the Flight Director Archie about the landing gear ! Never mind you did well M. Looking forward to the next Frenchie one. Bye for now Dean.
Looking good! 👍🏻 Have a few Heller kits in my stash, which I built as a kid growing up in Sweden, others just because of Heller's stunning boxart, a favourite being an 30's fighter flying over Paris and can see the Eiffel Tower....beautiful artwork! Onwards and upwards as they say! 👍🏻
Heller kits are notoriously difficult (some say bad!). Sanding sticks will help a lot and will allow you to make finer adjustments to bad fitting parts. Maskol is tricky too - Have a go with Tamiya masking tape as an alternative. I'd also recommend Tamiya Extra Thin Glue too for fitting small parts :)
Bad? My beautiful Heller?! Say it isn't so! But yeah, this was probably the worst of the Heller kits I've made - and to be fair the only remotely close to bad one! 💜💜
@@MsModeller they are mot that bad at all.i have never had anymore "bad " issues with them than any other kit company....their Alloute 3 and Fouga Magister kits are fantastic.
I am struggling with the Mistercraft Br693. It's the old Heller kit with extra decal options. The plastic is very soft and flashy. But it is a great looking aircraft. The fit isn't great either and the extra flash on the parts means you spend more time cleaning up the parts before assembly. Apparently the Special Hobby kit has nicer detail but is a bear to assemble. Keep trying with the airbrush.
You're struggling because it's a pretty bad kit; though I still recommend it for people who like the Br693 purely for the price, it's a bit of a pig. Why they use this bizarre plastic I'll never understand! 😂💜
They use the plastic they can source, what's cheapest and what flows best in the moulds. The new airfix kits are made with similar stuff. Not nice to trim or sand.

I'm just used to having my absolutely massive nails haha! The Potez is on my list don't you worry! 😂💟
I like how you keep the fun rolling with the music, and experimenting with the video elements. Works really well with the history especially. 👍 Keep up the great work
Thank you very much! I'm always trying to improve my videos and make them the best they can be! 💜💜

@@MsModeller onwards and upwards
When archie attacks, is GIF worthy, Nice one👍👍👍👍
OMG YES I NEED TO GIF IT! 💜💜
That's good enough, your cat liked it! The Breguet 693 reminds me of the Handley Page Hampden.
This seems to be a recurring thought! 😂😅💜
Another brilliant video, love how your doing your vids, history of the aircraft and history of the kit plus the model build, go girl !
Thank you so much - that's really kind of you! 💜💜
The Breguet 693 is one of the few multi engine French military aircraft that looks good, IMO. I just bought four French bombers :-)
It is such a cutie! 💟

Great stuff! I do like how the plane has windows for its bombs to enjoy the ride...
Happy little bombs 💜💜
Such a good looking aircraft in an odd kinda way, can’t believe I’d never heard of it before
Especially when it's such a looker! 💜💜

Yeah I adore this plane in War Thunder - hence I did the War Thunder cinematic for this on my channel too! 💟
I'm building that exact kit under the Smêr brand. I had that one as a kit. Total member-berries! xD The details almost as soft as my pillow! :D
Definitely a weird plastic they use for sure! Even if they changed the plastic I think this kit would hold up much better! 😂💟

All the parts do have a primer, I always primer first with Tamiya's rattle vans! Thank you for your kind words - as usual it means the world 💜💜

Hi, looks like a HP Hampden!! Looks 👍 and most enjoyable video. 😉
I feel like I need to get a Hampden when I can afford one! 😅💜
"...not my best work"
Ah yes...that celebrated English penchant for understatement!
I mean, complimenting yourself is a sin, right? 😂💜
Great video ms modeller
Thank you kindly💜💜
Looks like a Beaufighter and a Hampden had a one night stand and this is the result! 😂😂
So many people said this...do I need to do a Hampden?! 💜💜
Have you considered building an Arma or great wall hobby 1/72 great kit? A lot more detail to showcase your airbrush work
Even the Academy kits and how much they are improving their details.
I've built the Arma TS-11 Iskra. It's an older video but I really enjoyed it (just no airbrush)! ruclips.net/video/s4wkdnHvjOM/видео.html
