I lost or traded in or sold the car with the combination Superchunk David Gilhooly mash up bumper sticker but now have a magic silver box thru which I pretend I can see and hear Superchunk more recently than Bottom of Hill with baby in arms
Quite possibly the most perfect band ever. That said I don’t agree with their politics. Still I’m so happy to have worked with them on multiple occasions. They came through Cincinnati on their first tour and played at the now sadly gone Sudsy Malone’s. Truly dropped my jaw. Beyond amazing, a life changing experience. Simply stated this band made my life better. A total shout out to Guided by Voices and Archers of Loaf, both rocked my world and gladly I worked with both. My years spent doing sound for amazing bands, both local and touring is the highlight of my life. One last thing, somewhere I have a guitar pick that Mac from Superchunk signed for my daughter Samantha, it simply says Mac. Much love and let our differences be forgiven.
Sounds like you have a wonderful taste in music. Regarding the politics part: I feel we have been misguided by voices for quite a while to put it mildly. But I would leave it at that. Keep up your self-determinism. Greetings from Germany.

First I like old superchunk and have for a long time. Second this is not sarcasm. Macs stupid ass was quoted in in article that some days he wants to attack people if he sees a MAGA hat, so that means physically attacking people over their opinion. But of course liberal men are pussies and can stick to fantasies about what they want to do.

"What a Time to Be Alive has no time for ballads because when variety calls it dips the other way towards brevity. The two-word average and “on the tin” appearance of many of the titles in the tracklisting looks like an old hardcore one: super chunks you might say. Lost My Brain with its feedback intro and barely absent chorus, and Cloud of Hate’s no-nonsense dismissal are the most clear examples of this sugar-sprinkled hardcore sound, but the pacy Reagan Youth spells out the intention before you even listen to the record. “Reagan Youth taught you how to feel/Reagan Youth showed you what was real/But to tell the truth, there was more than one Reagan Youth” sings McCaughan. A touching placeholder for the Dave Rubinstein tribute album that Paul Cripple has been promising for years, perhaps Superchunk are saying we’re all still children of that defining time, with current dunderheads created via the inbred lovechild of microwaved Reagan-era social conservatism and dissatisfaction with the poverty-breeding “globalist” policies of nonstop neoliberalism. As someone who grew up on punk and new wave I support Trump 100% and judging by recent polls so do a vast majority of Americans.

Im not American and i did think Trump getting in would be a disaster i was even a little scared, but on a world scale and what I've read and seen and on paper he has done just as good as previous presidents in recent history.
