- 2017 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD in Blizzard Pearl with the Brown and black interior detailed review test drive and walk around. Please note that they are 18" Alloy wheels, not 17"
The 2017 model will only have 1 single change and that is the engine as follows:
This now has a Direct Injection 3.5L V6 engine (2GR-FKS)
8-speed automatic transmission
Results in increased horsepower/torque (+30 HP), better fuel efficiency, and smoothness
As the 2016 and 2017 have only changed the engine, the Sienna is based on a 2016 model. 2017's are available for order now, due to land in the fall. Авто/Мото
Just bought 2016 XLE Premium, same color as yours, brown interior. Beautiful vehicle tons of features.
I am so glad they finally updated the 3.5 engine to direct fuel injection and up the horsepower and transmission to 8 speeds! Cool.
I really enjoy your video, Thanks! 👍
Good job on the report. I wasted time on several fluff videos, but you've hit a home-run...WELL DONE!
Thank you.
My pleasure. BTW, I've been in contact with Toyota of Deerfield Beach about the van. I'm still deciding between the model/color/trim you showed and a GMC Explorer Van conversion. The Toyota offers better fuel mileage, AWD, etc... but the full size van offers more room, power and expense :(
wow a car with adjustable seats!
I wish I had a car like that.
esta bien perrisima
What's the MPG for the new one?
It is not possible to buy here in Brazil
Just got a 2017 Toyota Sienna SE black on black in South Florida with the preferred package and for a mini van this thing hauls ass.
Congrats
This mini van is spotted in singapore but is in LHD
I'd consider a new Toyota Sienna AWD but I have real concern with the run flat tires with no spare. Lots of complaints about run flat tires.
We haven't had a lot of issues with them. As long as you replace them before they are bald, they should be fine.
Great stuffs! The average citizen car!
Driving a 2004 Sienna for a week as a rental and I gotta say I would rather have a Sienna than a Supra.
Thumbs up.
Questions: Does this AWD version offer a spare tire? I know the front wheel version does. Can the second row seats be removed or do they fold into the floor? Can you open and close the rear hatch by swiping your foot under the bumper like on other vehicles?
Nope. AWD models only get runflats, and no spare
The 2nd row seats are removable. There isn't a foot activated tailgate.
The AWD models have the rear driveshaft that runs right under where the spare tire would be so there is no way they can put a tire there.
Almost 300hp!
Does the 2017 model still offers the Lounge Chairs?
Only in the Front wheel drive models.
I never had all these bells and whistles so for me this is new My brother car is 2002 le sabre.
where do I find the bug deflector? the same one you have.
You could order it from a Canadian store
Looks pretty nice for a van. Does anybody have a link to somebody doing a reasonable test of the AWD system on this? The last van we had the wife managed to get it stuck. Twice in the same winter. We don't usually get alot of snow here in Kentucky. But when it does it tends to be abit of a surprise and it takes awhile for it to get cleared. Nobody seems to believe we will get more than a dusting until it actually happens. That and when the weathers nice we may want to go off the beaten path abit. Nothing hardcore though. She wants another van cause she thinks it will haul her wheelchair better than an SUV. In a few years maybe something like this used wont be super expensive.Although a couple of actual promotions at work would be helpful to. Something I'm busting my tail for but it seems like no matter how hard I work the ladies have an advantage. Espessilliy if they brown nose. And if their attractive it seems to help them even more.
T Ritchie dont tell anyone where you live not even me because someone can come to your house and rob it.BTW im not shouting im just letting you know sorry about that
For the low price of $40,000...you too can own this vehicle!
hi, i have a question. which on is better between AWD and FWD? thank you
"Better" is really subjective. If you live on back country roads, drive gravel a lot or live in a place that does not have the snow plowed a lot, the AWD is better. Otherwise, FWD is great and you can add winter tires for better traction.
Thank you.
strawberry18793 AWD If you live in a area where it snows
When does the 2017 arrive in USA
They can be ordered now but are due to land in about 6-8 weeks or so.
YOUR MAKING ME MOTION SICK!
Try it again and let me know if its better now.
William Glover you sound 🔊 like my teacher 👨🏫
is there a middle 2nd row seat?
Not on the Limited or XLE model but it is available on the SE models.
I want this car in Europe
Harga toyota siena di indonesia
How useful is the AWD?
MetaView7 AWD is useful if you live in a area where it snows
why that quick man
I thought they change the engine AND the trans on the high end models? Not just the engine.
Yes, all Sienna's now have the new engine and 8 speed transmission.
+Michael Linterman Are you saying that even the Sienna LE model has an 8 spd trans?
New powertrain adopted:
- Direct Injection 3.5L V6 engine (2GR-FKS)
- 8-speed automatic transmission
- Results in increased horsepower/torque
(+30 HP), better fuel efficiency, and
smoothness
Yes, at least they are in Canada
Nice van, but the lack of stow n go middle row seating is a deal killer for me. Why don't any of Chrysler/Dodge competitors have this option by now?? I might understand if it's a patented idea, but they already copied the rear hideaway seats, but not the middle. Grr..
Can't do it on these vans because the AWD system runs under there. Otherwise we would have to only make FWD models like the rest of them. The middle row is removable in the case where you need the space
Michael Linterman
That's a good point about AWD Toyotas, but what excuse does Honda have? The Kia middle row doesn't come out at all. I have about 30 years of experience pulling seats in and out of Chrysler branded minivans plus 1 Ford Windstar and I'm retiring from that job. In the beginning they were 3-row benches in the rear and 2-row in the front (heavy suckers), then Chrysler graduated to middle row buckets, so that helped a bit. Once you go stow-n-go, you'll never want to go back. The seats might not be as comfortable because of their size, but for me it's well worth the trade-off. That is of course if you have the requirement to pull the seats out on frequent basis like me.
The Pacifica Limited is a better van in almost every way, the only question is reliability. However, Chrysler put billions of dollars and 3.4Million miles in testing into the Pacifica. Its already paid off...the crash test rating is the top rating. The current Sienna no matter how much they upgrade it can not compare. The frame of the Pacifica is just a superior design with superior driving dynamics.
Like you said, reliability! I've had 3 Chrysler minivans and everyone had a problem with longevity and no awd wheel drive. Imho Honda Odyssey is superior to them all but also has no awd. I don't trust Chrysler quality, I've also had a Ram PU with tranny problems that came and went. It seems to me all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep products I see in the Chicago area seems to be prone to premature rust through. Chrysler's going to have to address this problem publicly before I would purchase another of their vehicles.
Btw, I think is time to update my 2006 Sienna 😉
Wait for 2018.
Any particular reason?
***** That is when a new generation will debut.
Ohh yeah, that's right! Thanks...
***** No problem.
This is not "All new", its been around since 2011, being facelifted for 2015. It has not 17" wheels like you said, but 18".
"All new" from the factory..
it's getting redesigned for 2018
The funny thing is, the 2018 Camry is right around the corner and well, the Sienna still being what it is even in 2018 will be behind the Camry by TWO generations.
Toyota is basically telling you to buy the Camry or be stuck with a minivan that has the SAME technology and chassis as its 2007 predecessor. Disappointing for all the soccer moms who won't settle for anything other than a Toyota minivan.
Like I mentioned above, it has the new Tacoma engine in it. Also, the Camry and Sienna are being redesigned for 2018 adding Toyota Safety Sense as well as a few other features.
I thought Sienna is going to get new look in 2017?
Shaonan Zhang nope. Toyota might redesign the sienna in 2019
how's the MSRP
thái nguyen $50,000
@6:08 Insert Holy Music
I had to watch what you were talking about, that's pretty funny
Just bought a 2016 version :(
me too :( But I just keep telling myself the 2017 will have more issues since the engine and transmission are new.

This looks my car
Interior better than Honda odessey bt lower than pacifica bt more reliable.
jaswinder singh nothing is more reliable than Toyota
How can you call this a detailed review but leave out the most important part which is: How many miles per gallon? City? Highway? Combined?
or open the hood so we can see what the engine actually looks like & not say what the average price for that trim level...
Lol... and what's with this picture of a dude who's on the phone at the end promoting a 2017 RAV4
Cool Cat it's because the Canadian Mpg and the US are different and people from both countries watch my videos.

Trump can buy a few of these and enjoy the country drive. Instead he's on overdrive, working on the most demanding tasks.
