He was one of the masterminds behind the great Grandstand years and heard this song when he was in the United States. It wasn't released in the UK yet but wanted to make sure it was used for the F1... he is also my dear father. He released his book some years ago telling stories of his life in TV... check it out! True story, top bloke :)

The F1 Theme is not gay........in none of the senses of the word, it is not gay in the sense that this piece is, being full of life and enjoyment, and it's not gay in the other sense, it's just generic. It's trying to surf on the wave of classic music renaissance and new interpretations of classic music of the last 10-15 years, since people have started to enjoy classic music in great numbers again. Something that comes out of the film and the gaming scenes, where it was created by both the soundtracks and the trailer musics, which were often repurposed for fan films and music. Something to which the old stream media has caught on now as well, but without the deft touch of the fans to make it work. It's a corporate effort to give F1 a veneer of class and sophistication, or what an american company thinks that is. It wants a politically correct, sanitized, seemingly "classy" version of F1 that is above all profitable and doesn't offend anyone, everything that was F1 before has been washed away to get a cleaner corporate image, so that the Twitter Crowds don't bay for blood, as they do every minute of every day. And the F1 Theme is just like that, antiseptic and lifeless. The Chain represents F1 as it has been, what is the real F1 to the fans, a professional blood sport, the noise, the sex, drugs and rock and roll. Yeah it might be tacky in places, it might be circus, it might be dirty and banged up in places.........but it still lives!

My dad passed away a few years ago but he loved F1 I was 14 and it was just me and him in a flat I use to see him watching every race that happened I miss him and this is just nostalgia Miss you dad 😭
I disagree. And playing this over n over again before each practice, quali and race session gets old quick whereas brian's piece is easily adaptable and much longer
@@nicholashansen1477 Honestly didn't even know F1 had a theme until I caught a reel with Brian's theme. I do like Fleetwood Mac, but Brian's Theme has me wanting to watch some F1 now. More energetic and like you said adaptable.
Honestly the edit is fantastic. The engine sounds paired with the angry guitar is just perfection, and all the clips are some of the best of F1's history. Great job dude!
